Smacking and heavy breathing
Revisado: 12-18-24
I read the book years ago. I wanted to reread by listening and it was ruined by listening to the narrator sigh and breathe like he's always out of breath and listening to his smacking noises. 1/5 smacking + 1/5 Heavy sighs + 3/5 story = garbage to listen to. Really appreciate the series and Jim Butcher

Historia
In 1997, David Deida released what would become one of the most widely read books on men’s spirituality ever published—The Way of the Superior Man. In this unabridged audiobook of the 20th-anniversary edition, Deida presents a new preface to the now-classic text on how to live a life of masculine freedom, integrity, and authenticity.

monotone and silly
Revisado: 10-24-24
Narrator is horrendous to listen to. The book started out pretty good. There is some good information in some spots. This author tries to consolidate all men and all women in a bunch of "profound" manners. It's bonkers. He talks about submitting all the time, submit to this and that. Overall a pretty useless book IMHO.

Historia
A warrior's path is trodden in pain and death lies at its end. Those were his father's words from long ago. Not just words, in truth, but a warning. Despite this, in the end, Cutter, like so many others, had chosen pain, had chosen death. Maybe he had done so when he lay dying in some back alley of his home city. Maybe it had been when Yeladrian, the Fey King, had gifted him the Breaker of Pacts. Or perhaps he had not chosen his path at all. Perhaps it had chosen him. Either way, there was no choice left to him now. His path lay before him, and so the only thing left to do was to walk it.

Not my fav
Revisado: 08-24-24
It followed more of the sidekicks than it did Cutter and Feladious. It was a decent story line but it def wasn't about the path of the warrior minus a few seemingly insignificant chapters. As soon as he started covering them, he would jump back to Mave and Shall or the king Matt.

Historia
Michael Crichton, creator of Jurassic Park, ER, Twister, and Westworld, had a passion project he’d been pursuing for years, ahead of his untimely passing in 2008. Knowing how special it was, his wife, Sherri Crichton, held back his notes and the partial manuscript until she found the right author to complete it: James Patterson, the world’s most popular storyteller.

not well done
Revisado: 07-25-24
The narrator has a voice that seems to be always shaking. The story is poorly thought out. The antagonist was easily stopped but they just allowed him to continue meddling, very lame.

Virtue signaling
Revisado: 02-20-24
It has his moment of being a great book. The story just throws in irrelevant current political topics to virtue signal. Just too much to be enjoyable.

Historia
John M. Ford was the kind of writer that made audiences’ eyes light up and made other writers want to either worship him or assassinate him. He was a brilliant stylist and clever storyteller. He wrote everything. Short stories (award winners), novels (award winners), plays, poetry (award-winning), sketches, comedy monologs, games, Star Trek™ tie-ins, puzzles and parodies.

Loved the story
Revisado: 05-23-22
I enjoyed the story a lot. But the narrator’s continuous mouth noises became too much to ignore. So much swallowing, smacking and saliva noises. Maybe it was just me. Other than that the book was great.
