I didn't enjoy this book at all. First, the female narrator was horrible. her accents were all over the place and she read the story like something was about to harken, her voice sounded excited even during times when she should have expressed sadder emotions or humor. The story also had a lot if flashbacks and inner dialogue but quite honestly it was way too much and not sure if it was the way it was written or the narrators but it was hard to distinguish when the flashbacks and under dialogue began and stopped. very disappointed the only shining part of this story was the fact that the black character was not made to come off ghetto and ignorant like most books that have black characters do... so for that thank you

the story was usual fall in love within a day! only thing I like was that the heroine remained strong. narrator was horrible!!!! not happy not happy don't waste your credit read it yourself it may be passably better that way

it was OK. I like how the characters had a chance to get to know each other but the story was still lacking and I wasn't the biggest fan of the narrator. I loved his accents though he did a decent job on that. you could almost feel the character get a good sense of who they are then the narrator just fell flat emotionless and just read the words. I may read the book on my own and see how I feel it's worth a chance.

I did not know this book existed and was very pleased after I read the summary. It was great reading about some of the older couples getting glimpses of them after their stories or learning about how some new couples originally found each other! If you can read it in order I definitely suggest you do but its OK if you don't like I did. The Only Problem I have/had is with the narrator. He barely changed his infliction/volume/emotion anything to hello distinguish between characters. Most of the woman sounded manly a few men sounded feminine. Not sure its worth the credit but its definitely worth the read!!!!!

is this even a LOTU book?

I understand it's a novella but the BEST part of the LOTU is when they have inner dialogue, fights with their demons... this never happened!!!! if it did it sucked so bad I don't remember! I looked forward to this story so much but it was a disappointment! and that's a 1st for me with any GS book... even novellas! very nice story. I liked that the H&H actually spent time together before falling in bed and in love. the mystery was an even better addition to the story. worth the credit

I loved hearing the male and female voices.

i loved having a male and female narrator. I wish they would do this more often!!! LOVE! yes both performances got a lil over the top at times but I enjoyed their enthusiasm to bring the characters to life!!!. I LOVE GS and read everything she writes... but this fell slightly short for me. I was missing the character development it just kind of bounced around and then BOOM they were in love and the best versions of themselves! She usually does a better job at building towards that where I feel emotionally connected to the characters... I really didn't this time.
worth a credit.... I'd say find a book trading store and read it yourself!
I would like to hear these narrators again though and together and hopefully the next book in this series is better... but we'll see! happy listening
