Amazing story but leave the politics out of it….

Absolutely loved the storyline - it’s been a while since I listened to a book that just made me completely forget about time - but - the one negative thing that irked me most were the authors clear political tendencies filtering through here and there and by that I mean the references to Covid and masking (which has been proven ineffective for a long time now).Also there are other references to leftists political opinions which I happen to seriously disagree with…. But overall it didn’t kill the story for me, it just irked me …
NOTE TO THE AUTHOR:
KEEP PRESENT POLITICS OUT OF SF - you’ll get more readers / listeners…

Amazing !!!

Not your usual sci-if - totally rocks - the character depths are astounding- especially if you listen to all three Black Ocean stories available here - can’t even decide which character is my favorite between Mort, Roddy, Carl, Kubu, Wesley Wesley and Esper or Tiffany - there is so much depth to each of them, even the supporting characters have lots of background that gradually gets revealed as the story progresses… anyway it’s just fun to listen to - I still chuckle just thinking about some of the things Wesley Wesley and Kubu said - totally hilarious but listen to it yourself - let the Black Ocean suck you in 😃

So I normally read hard sci-fi but I thought I’d give this a go - it took me an hour or two to get used to the characters and the narrator but after that I was all in - totally loved it - but where is the next part ?
Help!!!

1st of four books in this saga - I have listened to this so many times now that I can’t even remember how often - the four books in this series are an absolute must read/listen if you appreciate decent sci-if - not the kind of horror type sci-fi but something that actually uses “fringe physics”, has a story line that is well thought out and has a great mixture of science, technology, adventure and intrigue built in - the main characters are very detailed and one can clearly picture each one of them and the plot itself will make you think about the possibilities and the unknown history of the Galaxy we live in - it certainly puts a different perspective on things.

I’d highly recommend reading/listening to the entire series … I now truly have “Nostalgia for Infinity”

Brilliant story - Excellent narrator

I could not stop listening from the beginning on - finally “Macho” is back - the main character sort of reminds of Archer from the same named Cartoon series …
The story has a bit of everything, plenty great Sci-Fi concepts, also touching philosophy and religion in an ever evolving plot - can’t wait to read the continuation.
