Very well written entertaining story

I checked for a sequel to this book before I even finished it. Finding this book is like finding a twenty in your coat pocket upon first (current) cold weather wearing. An unexpected treat. Well written grrreat! Narrators! Great voice, dude! It really fit who you come to know the (anti) hero is. Obsessive compulsion to right wrongs. In spite of the cost. Ms. Lakin, Mr. Plantinga and Mr. Halford- let's get the band back together!!!!! I did not recap the story. Others have done that. I loved this story. I am aware that taste is relative. I encourage everyone who has gotten this far to give it a listen .

This was a good story. I realize Romance is the number one genre but not in much of a mood lately. It was apparent very quickly who the bad guy was and what his beef was...The narrators were superb!! Give it a try.

Loved The Music!

I am puzzled by other reviewers criticism of the songs included in this audiobook. I enjoyed them. I have certainly heard "hit" songs that were less well written. Maybe they are just not country music fans? The singing was well done and different in a book. I like Sam. I enjoyed the stories. I encourage you to listen and make up your own mind. The narrator is very talented.

Ending snatched slightly better out of the jaws of mediocrity

Could not like the protagonist! What a wenging, self-involved, robot! I am just not into endless angst. About 75? chapters then the book took a turn. Got fairly interesting and ended on a semi- high-er note. I backspaced my next comment, will let you find out if you can make there.

This was in the 2fer line up. It really liked the other book and this one sounded interesting. This was a surprise. It is like nothing I have listened to recently. At first I was put off by the angsty guy? But hang in there. It takes a unusual turn. Really odd hero!!?? Recommend!
