Historia
In the heart of the California wine country, secrets seem to grow on the vines that Uriel Macon's family have tended for generations. Uriel, 29, is the winery's young widower. He steers clear of complicated relationships. He prefers the lonely comfort of his vineyard and his horses, until he is reminded of his love affair with Amanda Scanlon; a relationship that ended when she abruptly left the country years ago under a cloud of mystery. When Amanda returns to Sonoma because of a family crisis, she tries to mend the broken relationships she left behind.

Ok story
Revisado: 03-10-25
Hated the narrator so much that I had to fight the urge to stop listening. The woman could not pronounce the simplest Spanish words, she even mispronounced the main character’s name the whole entire time!!!!

Historia
Emma London never thought she had anything in common with her grandmother Genevieve London. The regal old woman came from wealthy and bluest-blood New England stock, but that didn't protect her from life's cruelest blows. Genevieve rose from the ashes of grief and built a fashion empire that was respected the world over, even when it meant neglecting her other son. When Emma's own mother died, her father abandoned her on his mother's doorstep. Genevieve took Emma in and reluctantly raised her - until Emma got pregnant her senior year of high school.

I love Kristan Higgins writing. It’s good clean and wholesome (in-spite of the F word every once in a while) Her books always leave me with a sense of hope

Historia
Lillie Silva knew life as an empty nester would be hard after her only child left for college, but when her husband abruptly dumps her for another woman just as her son leaves, her world comes crashing down. Besides the fact that this announcement is a complete surprise (to say the least), what shocks Lillie most is that she isn't...heartbroken. She's furious. Lillie has loved her life on Cape Cod, but as a mother, wife and nurse-midwife, she's used to caring for other people...not taking care of herself.

A little bit of a slow start but sure glad to have hung in there as the characters started getting more interesting.
Love love love Kristan Higgins!

Historia
Millie Barnes is this close to finally achieving her perfect life. Rewarding job as a local doctor on Cape Cod? Check. Cute cottage of her very own? Check. Adorable dog suitable for walks past attractive locals? Check! All she needs is for golden boy and former crush Joe Carpenter to notice her, and Millie will be set. But perfection isn't as easy as it looks - especially when Sam Nickerson, a local policeman, is so distracting. He is definitely not part of her master plan. But maybe it's time for Millie to make a new plan....

Light and fun listen
Revisado: 01-08-25
I was looking for a light and fun book when I came across this one. Wasn’t too sure but since it was a freebie … I’m so glad I gave it a chance. I thoroughly enjoyed the story with its light humor. I Liked the main character vey much. I laughed and sometimes almost cried with Milli.
The narrator was excellent!

Tender story
Revisado: 01-04-25
I loved how much this two sisters loved each other. Jenny always so optimistic and funny. I actually laughed out loud a few times. I also liked Rachel but could not stand that whiny voice that read her part.
The whole book would’ve been perfect without the F word being used so often.

Historia
Everyone has a story to tell. But does Janice have the power to unlock her own? She can’t recall what started her collection. Maybe it was in a fragment of conversation overheard as she cleaned a sink? Before long (as she dusted a sitting room or defrosted a fridge) she noticed people were telling her their stories. Perhaps they had always done so, but now it is different, now the stories are reaching out to her and she gathers them to her.

The fact that there are such lonely people in the world
Revisado: 10-26-24
I loved Eleanore’s character. Hated the fact that people like her are often prejudged and mostly avoided, which adds to their loneliness.
It took me a while to get into the story, but once in could not stop listening. Great book!

The narrator!
Revisado: 07-22-24
Very interesting believable characters and story line kept me interested in the outcome.
I did not like the overly explicit sex narrations. I don’t think I’ll be listening to this author again.
