Historia
Kiera Van Gelder's first suicide attempt at the age of 12 marked the onset of her struggles with drug addiction, depression, post-traumatic stress, self-harm, and chaotic romantic relationships - all of which eventually led to doctors' belated diagnosis of borderline personality disorder 20 years later. The Buddha and the Borderline is a window into this mysterious and debilitating condition, an unblinking portrayal of one woman's fight against the emotional devastation of borderline personality disorder.

Historia
After being given a terminal diagnosis with only a few weeks to live, Jane McLelland dug up research, some decades old, in her quest to survive. Rather than aiming to cure cancer, which in many cases is unachievable, Jane's approach was to stop it growing. Remarkably, her approach not only stopped it growing, it disappeared altogether. There are now clinics following her protocol, achieving remarkable successes.

Revisado: 01-07-24
Comprehensive anecdotal experience with cited studies and protocols. I enjoyed hearing how the author found medical professionals to work with her. I would have like to hear whether insurance covered some of this and estimates if monthly cost for the cocktail of drugs. Also. This audio book Needs pdf!

Historia
In a small back alley of Tokyo, there is a café that has been serving carefully brewed coffee for more than 100 years. Local legend says that this shop offers something else besides coffee - the chance to travel back in time. Over the course of one summer, four customers visit the café in the hopes of making that journey. But time travel isn’t so simple, and there are rules that must be followed. Most important, the trip can last only as long as it takes for the coffee to get cold.

Fascinating idea- so-so execution

I love a good time travel story, it I found my attention drifting during the long-winded and trivial narration.

Heartbreakingly beautiful
Revisado: 02-19-23
It has taken me a long time to get back into reading, so I turned to audiobooks. Still, most fiction never compared to the classics of world literature I studied in college and I found myself not able to focus and stick with the story. Finally, I found A Little Life recommended by a young man on booktube. I fell in love with books once again. I fell in love with the characters and the eloquent writing. I was invested in the story and looked forward to listening every day. The narrator was also phenomenal and believable.

Advice drawn from Miindfulness Teachers
Revisado: 12-19-21
Ok. Good overview for beginners, but If you have read Elkhart Tolle, Jon Kabbat-Zinn, Jack Kornfield & other mindfulness books, this will seem like a general survey of how to live a fulfilling life. It gets repetitive and boring at times and even seems condescending in some parts. Not bad, but there are better choices out there. Wish the author would have become more personal about his practice & case studies.
