Audio Review:
These narrators do a fantastic job with this book. They make sure all the emotion is right there in their voices. They add a unique inflection when voicing other characters in a scene. I loved how both portrayed our leads.

Book Review:
One thing I love about this series is how each brother's romantic timeline varies just enough. Garrett isn't looking for love. He is fairly on the side of 'not worth the effort' but he also isn't extremely hard headed once the romance presents itself as potentially life changing. I loved how he was with his family and his son. He shows he's the boy scout while also accepting he can't control everything and get it all right. I was SO frustrated at some of the turns coming for him but obviously it worked out in the end.

Harper was so refreshing. She was light-hearted but also took things seriously. She has her silly reasons for some things but doesn't become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Her relationship with Owen and the wives was fun and impactful. She got a lot of closure in this book and I was happy for it.

I love how the suspense is playing out in these books. This one was frustrating (on behalf of the characters) and there are some red herrings. Above it all, the plot and romance are balanced. I hate a romantic suspense that sacrifices either for the other, so this was great!

I have previously read this as an ebook, but listening to it as an audiobook is definitely a different experience.

I loved the voice actors used. They give each character the emotions and inflections needed to make them feel real. I liked that we got the 3rd person voice added for the difference needed from the other female lead.

This book has so many twists and turns, so much humor and banter. You can read and listen to it over and over and still be surprised by the parts coming next. Can't wait to read about the next Haven brother.

This is such a great story to be able to hear. All of the narrators are perfection. I loved Ava Erickson's sweet cheerfulness of Audrey. Conner Crais is a wonderfully stoic and series Josiah. I'm glad the stalker got his own voice too.

As for the book content, the following is my review of just the story.

A looming question we are faced with before starting this series: Can the 'enemy' of our favored Bailey brothers become the new heroes? Heck yes they can!

Josiah's first impression way back in Logan's book (Chasing Her Fire) was grumpy and gruff. He didn't give us a lot else in that series. He gives us a whole lot more here, while still being that grumpy and gruff guy. He has been burned when taking a chance on a woman and isn't willing to try again. He isn't rude or mean, he just doesn't care enough to try. As soon as Audrey enters the scene, he can't help but be swept into her happy space.

Audrey has been through the ringer. She escaped her home town long ago with no plans to return. But once life hits her hard, she has to return to the place and people she hasn't ever intended to deal with again. I liked her enthusiasm for getting through the muck because there isn't another option. She doesn't have a lot of plans to address unresolved issues other than to just let them be the way they are. Even once her relationship with Josiah starts to gain traction, she is optimistic, but realistic.

I liked the mystery element. I had guessed the framing of the who and why of the situation early, but there were several red herrings to make me doubt myself throughout the book. I liked getting bits of some of the other Havens and look forward to where they will take us.

This is such a great Holiday read. From the first moment we hear Elias, he has such added depth over simply reading his thoughts. He is all at once heartbreaking and frustrating and hilarious. As he thaws his frozen heart, it's so amazing to experience.

Isabelle is, of course, great too. She is great to not immediately be suckered in by Elias but not completely walled up either. The balance in wants, needs and actions of these characters was a perfect balance

We have waited a long time for Gabe's story. I really liked getting all of him here. This story is a bit heavier than a lot of the others in this series, but it just goes to highlight how fantastic Gabe is and how strong Sadie is.

I really liked Vanessa's Sadie. She played the emotions needed well. Lee wasn't bad, but I found his pacing awkward at times, like he was pausing before in the middle of the lines.

We got to catch up on a lot of our Jetty Beach friends here, would have loved to see them, especially Gabe's sister more.

Tidbits of this coupling were dropped in the previous book. Perpetual single guy Lucas doesn't know what's about to hit him when good girl Becca moves in next door.
I loved the friendship these two had outside of the sexual relationship they developed. And the drama we knew was to come was resolved well.
The narrating was good. I didn't like Ava's Irish accent for Finn, but Sebastian's was ok. I know its hard enough to change voices for characters without accents, so it didn't bother me terribly.

This was a cute shorter book from Claire Kingsley. I really liked hearing it in audio as it was light enough to hold my attention while I was folding laundry, driving, etc.
The story was mostly good. I disagreed with the sort of dog pile on the heroine for feeling how she did, but it didn't make me turn off the book or anything.
The voicing was great. Richard Sawyer did a great Finn and I even believed his Italian/Irish mix for Finn's mother. Ava was a little dry, but it's to be expected for Juliet.

This sixth and last book in the Bailey Series is the best yet. It’s jam packed with adventure, suspense and star-crossed lovers.

This audio version of the book does every one of Levi Bailey naughty whispers justice. The writing it done just right so the text conversations don’t get confusing.

I loved every bit of the writing, the story, and the narrating.

This is the most passionate Claire Kingsley book I’ve heard to date. The story was already full of great enemies to lovers dialogue and situations, but Teddy Hamilton did a fantastic job as Logan Bailey. He nails every bro-ism, his tone was perfect for the bedroom (or not) scenes and he was amazing in the sweet moments. Logan Bailey is a fantastic character to get to see grow and evolve throughout this book.

Virginia Rose was also great. She nails every one of Cara’s sharp barbs, witty comebacks and vulnerability. We have known the Cara she shows the world and reserves for Grace, but behind that was a character so full of insecurity and pain. She just wanted to have a good life and you felt for her every step of the way through this journey.

Great Happily Ever After for all!

I absolutely loved this conclusion to the Bootleg Springs series. As always it was wonderfully written and performed. We once again have Stephen Dexter and Natalie Duke narrating. Don’t for a second thing the same voices make every lead sound the same throughout the series. In fact, every character sounded unique while keeping with the country theme.

The story absolutely cannot be read out of order, however the last pieces of the puzzle are dropped at a nice pace and you aren’t overwhelmed. The extended epilogue, the where are they now, and the making of special pieces were a great way to ease out of this immersive universe and back to reality.
