it's mostly a "filler" for the gaps inflicted by the editors of the chronicles laid out in the first book which was an enjoyable tale of a genuine crusader in pursuit of a righteous cause.
Unfortunately, Browder has turned into a hateful human being inflicted by the same venom that fueled Putin's vendetta.
it's sad to watch a nobel crusader stricken by the "hate the orange man" syndrome... It left a "bad taste" after an inspiring meal....

If only the "we pray" or prayed where reducted the book would become a pamphlet....
There is no doubt that the author brought insight into the character of the major players in the Middle East, however, his "naiveté" (the same ingredient that is weaved into his fiction) sickens me. I wonder how many of those players laugh behind his back..... and continue the charade there after....

A wonderful uplifting mémoires of a conceited "kibutznik" (most of them are...) but this one has the receipts...
This book is sufficiently non-technical to have a universal appeal with a wonderful dose of nostalgic elements that strike a cord with the aothor's contemporaries (which I'm).
Reading some of the reviews, the "universal appel" might not trancends to a broad spectrum of readers. Nonetheless, it's not only a life worth living but a life story worth reading ...

entertainment? yes... with poison pill to boot.

Reading fiction is a form of escapism... and heaven knows that Silva is a master weaver of the "entertaining" tapestry. why in haven's name can't he control the urge to sneak into the narrative the "serpent" that dominates his misguided world view that poisons the pleasure of reading his tales?
Mr. Silva laughs (at us) all the way to the bank. We (the consumers) are instrumental in creating his large megaphone, if only he had the decency to reciprocate by restraining his misinformed and juvenile political views.
The sad truth is that anti-Semitism found a new home in the Left (world wide ) rather than in the Christian churches or in the twisted world of the Skin Heads....
