a shockingly abrupt ending
Revisado: 04-22-25
this is potentially my last of Brandon Morris' books. I had been a fan, but the last 2 series have ended so abruptly. it was as though he just said "awesome I met the publishers 100k words (or whatever it is), I will just have the universe explode and not finish the story!". ok so that's not a spoiler, not saying the universe explodes, just a really abrupt pointless ending. sad

Too much profanity
Revisado: 04-23-24
I love Steve Berry, but unlike many of his books, this one resorts to profanity rather than good story telling. If that matters to you, I would definitely skip this one.

Historia
The towering iceberg drifting in the North Atlantic was a floating tomb. Embedded in the great gleaming mass was a ship - sealed in so solidly that not even its mast protruded. Here was a sea mystery to rank alongside the Bermuda Triangle and the Marie Celeste. But for Major Dirk Pitt, top trouble-shooter for the National Underwater and Marine Agency, it was also the first link in a fantastic chain of events that would lead him too close - and too often - to violent death.

Worst of the Dirk Pitt series!
Revisado: 06-23-23
Much too dark. Not the Pitt you expect and no Al. On plus side, performance of the reading was excellent

Historia
Days before the July Fourth holiday and the dedication of One World Trade Center at Ground Zero, an incident aboard a commercial jet flying over the Atlantic Ocean reminds everyone that vigilance is not a task to be taken lightly. But for iconoclastic NYPD detective Jeremy Fisk, it may also be a signal that there is much more to this case than the easy answer of this being just the work of another lone terrorist. Fisk suspects that the event might also be a warning sign that another scheme has been set in motion.

Profanity levels are shocking.
Revisado: 02-03-18
It is sad that so many authors are unable to write intriguing stories without the use of profanity. I will never read another book by this author.

Historia
Jungles come in many forms. There are the steamy rain forests of the Burmese highlands. There are the lies and betrayals of the world of covert operations. And there are the dark and twisted thoughts of a man bent on near-global domination. To pull off their latest mission, Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon must survive them all.

Possibly one of the worst narrators I've heard.
Revisado: 07-18-14
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Simple: Scott Brick
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Jungle?
Every character voice.
What three words best describe Jason Culp’s voice?
Bad, terrible, sorry.
What character would you cut from The Jungle?
None.
Any additional comments?
Audible shouldn't charge for this. Laughable when compared to past books. I will not purchase another book read by this narrator. Please bring Scott Brick back.
