Historia
Erich Bannon is happy in the small Irish village he has thought of as home since he arrived as a terrified, traumatized seven year old, one of the last Jewish children to escape Berlin in 1939. Now, at 23, it feels like all of his friends are drawn to The Promised Land, and he can understand why, but Israel is not for him. One by one, they leave, and Erich is bereft. He feels lost, but a chance encounter with an Irish Catholic girl gives him hope. All he and Róisín want is to be allowed to love each other, but the traditions and rules of their backgrounds forbid it.

A Wonderful Read
Revisado: 11-22-22
What a wonderful series. I thoroughly enjoyed the four books surrounding the lives of Lisel and Eric and everyone surrounding them. Ms. Grainger is brilliant in her ability to merge all the lives together, from one book to the next, yet keeping each book an outstanding stand alone creation of its own.
I highly recommend this series to anyone looking for a good story, rich in history, with well developed multi dimensional characters and a (l won’t give away the) ending.
Grab yourself four good reads and make a pot of tea or cocoa. You’ll be happy you did.

Historia
In 1942 the US Army unleashed one of its greatest secret weapons in the battle to defeat Adolf Hitler: training nearly 2,000 German-born Jews in special interrogation techniques and making use of their mastery of the German language, history, and customs. Known as the Ritchie Boys, they were sent in small, elite teams to join every major combat unit in Europe, where they interrogated German POWs and gathered crucial intelligence that saved American lives and helped win the war.

Excellent account of an atrocity that never should have happened. Man is capable of such beautiful things, yet there is such evil in some men’s hearts that never should be seen with any eyes. Never, ever.

Historia
It started the night Geena and Henry broke up. What was that strange light in the sky? A new star? A comet? Neither. It was the death of Venus. As if to commemorate the end of NASA’s golden couple, our neighbor planet exploded into a brilliant cloud of dust and debris, showering the Earth with radiation and bizarre particles as big as bacteria - a 10-dimensional superstring nanovirus that literally eats rock, transforming it into liquid, and then into molecule-size black holes that devour the very fabric of space-time.

Good story
Revisado: 09-09-21
I have followed Stephen Baxter for years and read every book he has ever written, or so I thought. I missed Moonseed and was so happy it popped up on my list of suggested books from Audible.
Moonseed is a good story and a fascinating what if scenario surrounding the end of the earth. A better choice of the reader would have been refreshing. I don’t like monotone readers, especially in long books like this one. If you like Stephen Baxter, I highly recommend this one.
