Great Christmas Story
Revisado: 12-26-20
Always love Donna VanLier's stories and her narration. This story artfully combines stories from two lives balancing the helplessness and hopelessness associated with battling cancer with a lighter story and an uplifting twist. In many of Donna's stories, there is a ying and yang between Gloria and Miriam which was irritating in this story.

Enjoyable & uplifting
Revisado: 02-14-15
If you could sum up The Christmas Note in three words, what would they be?
Really enjoyed the characters and sharing their faith. Story was really surprising and reader may feel the story is a fantasy unless you've witnessed the miracles of God.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Gloria was one of my favorites

Do Not Recommend
Revisado: 05-04-12
Would you try another book from Fannie Flagg and/or Fannie Flagg?
I've read three other books by Fannie Flag and loved them. HowIever, this book is one big "whine fest". I did not enjoy the book at all.
What was most disappointing about Fannie Flagg’s story?
Characters were interesting but I did not enjoy the melancholy theme.
What didn’t you like about Fannie Flagg’s performance?
Loved Fannie's performance. Her narration is compelling and the only reason I finished.
What character would you cut from I Still Dream About You?
Would cut Maggie's attitude - not necessarily her character. Rest of characters were absolutely fascinaing.
