The law of attraction for kids
Revisado: 09-08-12
Where does Sara, Book 1 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It's one of the better ones.
What other book might you compare Sara, Book 1 to and why?
Money and the law of attraction. It has the same theme.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Jerry Hicks?
Yes. He's not the best narrator in the world but he gets the message across
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Not really. I enjoy listening in blocks of 20 minutes. Unless I'm travelling and have nothing better to do.
Any additional comments?
Although Jerry is fine for adults, he is a poor children's narrator. I really think it should have a version for children narrated by a professional.

An interesting take on an old story.
Revisado: 08-13-12
If you could sum up The Voice of Knowledge in three words, what would they be?
Interesting, Enlightened, Stimulating
What other book might you compare The Voice of Knowledge to and why?
Change Your Thoughts, Change Your Life. It seems that all the "New Age Authors" are rewriting or interpreting the ancient spiritual texts to tell us much the same things Faith can move mountains. Trust in the Lord/Universe/Source/Tao. etc etc.
What does Peter Coyote bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Peter conveys through his accent and intonation the Toltec "feel" of the text
What did you learn from The Voice of Knowledge that you would use in your daily life?
For me it didn't so much teach as reenforce what I know deep down and when there are so many elements in the modern world that are bombarding me with deablitating "knowledge" it is a relief to find a new voice supporting my beliefs that we are so much more than society would have us believe.
Any additional comments?
Some wonderful new insights to go along with rewritten information taken from the 4 agreements.

In this remarkable dialogue between Hidayat Inayat-Khan and Deepak Chopra, M.D., the wisdom of the Sufis is appraised. Hidayat defines the word Sufi as "wisdom and purity". He explains that "any person whose heart is attuned to the Divine presence is a Sufi, because Sufism means purifying oneself and one's mind from preconceived ideas".

Not really my cup of tea
Revisado: 08-10-12
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Spiritual people who like chants and Eastern music
What was most disappointing about Hidayat Inayat-Khan and Deepak Chopra ’s story?
Hidayat Inayat-Khan is difficult to understand because of his pronunciation and intonation. It takes a lot of effort to understand what he is saying and the meaning of sentences is lost because I can't understand individual words.
Would you be willing to try another one of Hidayat Inayat-Khan and Deepak Chopra ’s performances?
There are many Deepak Chopra books that I have enjoyed but I wouldn't try another Hidayat Inayat-Khan book unless it had another reader.
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Wisdom of the Sufis?
All of it. The discourses need rewriting and simplifying
Any additional comments?
Definitely for the more patient among us.
