The story is great, the narration is awful. It’s an AI black woman with about four inflections she uses and it’s random when she uses them so you really have to listen to figure out what’s going on. The last third of the book is especially bad. Very hard to track due to the narrator not being human.

The book has three main storylines that alternate by chapter. Recommend listening to Darrow first all the way through, then Lyria/Ephraim and finally Lysander.
