Historia
Lee Strobel was the legal editor for the Chicago Tribune, a Yale graduate, and an atheist when his wife, Leslie, became a Christian early in their marriage. She began going to church; she found new friends; she became a different person. But Lee didn't believe in any of it. Both Lee and Leslie felt they were losing each other. Despite all the emotional clashes they experienced, God answered Leslie's prayers in miraculous ways. He gave her peace when she was feeling worried, gave her friends to walk with her, and gave her his Holy Spirit to comfort and guide her.

I would’ve loved to read this book 5 years ago, before being married. Marriage isn’t easy but not everyone explains why. This book will help you in a spiritually mismatch marriage.

Historia
How can you share the gospel with someone who doesn’t care? As Western culture becomes increasingly indifferent to questions of faith, diverted by secularism, comfort, and distraction, believers encounter many people who don’t so much doubt God as they are apathetic toward him. In Apatheism, Kyle Beshears urges us to recapture the joy of our salvation and demonstrates how to faithfully display the love of Christ to apatheist friends and neighbors.

Historia
After her release from a concentration camp, Corrie ten Boom set out to become what she called a “tramp for the Lord,” traveling around the world at the direction of God and proclaiming his message everywhere. Throughout her life-long experiences, she learned a few lessons in God’s great classroom, which she here shares with listeners. Corrie introduces us to her former prison guard, who asks her for forgiveness; a war-crippled lawyer with a soul as twisted and deformed as his limbs; and more.

Love the vulnerability of Corrie!
Revisado: 01-10-22
The way in which Corrie narrates her struggles and weaknesses makes one look at her with greater admiration, as it allows us to see that those failures are what guide us on the path to holiness.
The prayers and the way she spoke to the Holy Spirit is so beautiful.
Great book!

Historia
In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

I'm not gay but as a christian I wanted to listen this book to get to love and understand a little more about my friends who are.
In the listening, I found an incredible book full of vulnerability and complete love of God. And even great teachings for myself in singleness.
Loved that is read by Jackie! It makes it even more profound.

Historia
Evangelism isn't something you do, it's a world-changing way of life. Rebecca Manley Pippert shows how we as Christians, who are called to be the salt of the earth, can get out of the saltshaker and into life itself. People crowd Becky's book, with language and lifestyles to match. She confronts them with a Jesus as contemporary as themselves, a Christ they can see, who cares. Listening to her book, we laugh at her mistakes, identify with her failures, and find ourselves eager to emulate her spiritual progress.

Historia
While singleness is often widely misunderstood by many in the church today and often viewed in negative terms, the Bible speaks about it very differently. This book sets forth a positive vision of singleness by responding to seven common misconceptions, such as the notion that singleness is too hard, requires a special spiritual gift, is a hindrance to ministry, or is a waste of sexuality. Addressed to the church as a whole and written by a single pastor....

Good to read while you're single!
Revisado: 04-02-19
I like the way in which Sam Allberry explains the difficulties of both sides (singleness and marriage) not letting one better than the other. He's very open and sincere to tell about his struggles, and that gets even closer to the heart.
I've heard some of his preachings and I've discovered a treasure in him. He's a great Pastor!

What is my purpose in life? What is a good life? Why is there so much wrong with our world? What can I do to help make it right? These are some of the big questions that everyone must answer. And any lasting change in our lives will start with a change to one or more of our answers to these questions. Jesus changed the life of every person he met in the Gospels, through powerful experiences and words that led them to unexpected and transforming answers to their big questions. These conversations can still address our questions and doubts today.

I loved this book! Really good in all it's teachings and easy to comprehend. A very good mix between telling stories and doing apologetics. The Audio is good too, eventually you start feeling like Tim Keller is reading it to you.
