Kessler, a Mortal-Fae, has a bond with Ilona, a dragon. If the bond is broken through the death of one, the other will die of grief within the span of two moons. Ilona gave her life on a battlefield to save Kessler. In doing so, she gave Shai, a war-child, the portion of grief that comes with tears and sorrow, but she gave the emptiness of death to Kessler. Ilona instructs Kessler to make his way to Dreki Isle and create a new bond with her son, not yet hatched from his egg. If Kessler looks into the eyes of the wetling dragon first, he will have a new bond and will live.

Incredible Story and Narration...

I have a hard time focusing on audiobooks, but this held my attention throughout. The duet narration is a standout aspect of this audiobook. The male and female voices make the characters more vivid and memorable, giving the characters distinct personalities. And wow, the dragons! There are dialogues here that are spoken in the way of the dragon, which is telepathic. The narrators managed to make these dialogues distinguishable from regular "talk" in such an exceptional way!
I've read the eBook, and the audiobook captured the emotions of the characters to a tee. Listening made me feel for their struggles more.
I highly recommend Sagaman Kessler: The Boy Will Fight to all fans of Lord of The Rings, Game of Thrones, and epic fantasy sagas. It's an unforgettable series and worth the time. The author has a great sense of humor!
I look forward to the audiobook sequel. Hopefully soon!

Get caught in the excitement!

The narration is one of the best I've heard. DeLucia was able to infuse the excitement of a real basketball ball into his narration. He kept me interested and waiting for what happens next. The story is something every basketball fan should know about. I used to be a Jordan fan but I've never heard of Luisetti and how this man changed the game of basketball. It's a story of perseverance and hope and is ultimately inspiring. Worth the listen.

Enjoyed this. The best parts for me were the scenes involving the painter, Brodsky, and his incarceration at the Nazi Camp. The author wrote these parts beautifully. The whole story was exciting and the narrator's reading made it more so. A recommended listen.

The story lacked something....

The reading was truly inspired, but compared to the story of Ramses the Damned, one of my favorites, this sequel felt like a repetition, a rehash of the story, and I was already halfway with nothing new added. I'm going to get a copy of the ebook and see if I missed something. But after her last novel Prince Lestat and the Realms of Atlantis, I fear that Anne Rice is losing her touch. Her latest books are a far cry from The Witching Hour and The early Vampire Chronicles.

I received a coupon from the author inviting me to listen. As a fan of Dan Brown, I was enthralled by the mystery and legend in this book. The narrator was the perfect storyteller. His intonations, his acting was truly admirable and brought out the excitement in the story. Usually, I find it hard to concentrate on Audiobooks. This one got my attention.
