Historia
Drow god vs. Drow god! When Lolth and Eilistraee, two drow goddesses, compete for control of the dark elves of Faern, more than just the drow are caught in the middle. Though the drow will survive their game, what's at stake is the very nature of what it means to be a dark elf.

I liked the whole story, and especially how it comes together at the end.

interesting story, terrible narration
Revisado: 03-05-24
Narrator has a weird cadence almost like she's reading to kindergartners.
Also features cartoonish level overacting in nearly every bit of dialogue.
Narrator constantly mispronouncing words.... "headless" of danger instead of "heedless" of danger... stressing the wrong syllable in "conversant"... can't even pronounce "penitent" correctly and that word gets used over and over.
Its outright bad, not what would be expected of a professional narrator. It seriously really distracts from what would otherwise be an interesting story.

Historia
James Patterson’s thrilling adventure series gets an exclusive, audio-only origin story in Daniel X: Genesis, brought to life by an all-star cast. We meet Daniel, an ordinary teen just trying to navigate his way through high school. That all changes when he discovers he has super powers and can conjure up anything, at any time, just by imagining it. Suddenly he’s meeting powerful entities who tell him he is not, in fact, a typical teenage human but an alien...and his parents died not in a car wreck but in an epic battle with an intergalactic villain.

Fine but more for kids
Revisado: 05-02-23
It was a lot like listening to a kids cartoon and well performed! the story seems fun enough
... but suspension of disbelief gets difficult for adults on this one.
Don't get me wrong, I can deal with the idea that kid has magic powers because plot. That's fine and kind of expected from this kind of story. But the social worker character made no sense at all to me. And reason given for abducting humans was, as delivered, bafflingly illogical. That might have been addressed later in the story but this was the point I stopped. Still giving it a 4 overall because I doubt I'm the target demographic.
