I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. I enjoyed this twisty mystery. The narrator was perfect for this book. His Scottish accent took some getting use to, but was done very well. He had different voices, so it made it easier to distinguish between characters. 5 stars for him.

Predictable but engaging.
Revisado: 04-16-25
A nice second chance story. I found it very predictable, but still was very engaging. I finished it in two sittings. Murder. Spice. Single dad. Divorced mom. Danger.
I was actually gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator did a nice job presenting this story and the characters. She has a distinct voice that was maybe even to sweet for some of these characters. 4 stars for her as well.

I received an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. I enjoyed listening to this Steve Reagan's Story. The narrator is good with varying voices. He brings character to the story. 5 stars for him as well.
The life of an undercover agent is not for just anyone. Only for just a few special people. Very interesting and entertaining.

Book two in the series. Sara, an FBI agent and Tyler, a journalist work together to get a serial killer. But not without keeping secrets from each other. Someone is killing farmers and Spaulding, "the Monster," is manipulating others to kill. Spaulding has quite a game going.
This is a very interesting and entertaining series. I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. I was very pleased with the narrator. He lays out the story with clarity and interest. 5 stars for him as well.

Their investigation takes an unexpected turn when all the victims are linked to a popular online book community.

Detectives are people too.
Revisado: 04-02-25
I am voluntarily reviewing a complimentary Audible version of this book, gifted to me from thr author through Story Origin.
I like the way Mr. Bentley makes these two detectives very human. I felt their struggles trying to find this serial killer. . One has an alcohol problem. The other, a family that he couldn't see enough of because of the urgency of his job. I had to deduct one star because, I liked that they a always gave each other encouragement and support, but the "catch phrases" they used were repeated over and over. I found it quite distracting.
The narrator was great. Steve Schaeffer presented this story distinctly and clearly. 5 stars for him.

Karen's story
Revisado: 03-27-25
I know nothing about the corporate world and this is my first book from this author. Yet I found this prequel to be very interesting and entertaining. Being a senior citizen myself, I really like Karen and was pulling for her. She is compassionate and really cares for her coworker family. I would love to see where life takes her.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator did an excellent job presenting this story. Her male voices are believable, too. 5 stars for her as well.
This prequel certainly makes me want to finish the series.

I realize how much weaker I am physically than everyone else in the club. That weakness can be a horrible liability. Yeah. Things are going great. Until they aren’t. Revisado: 03-26-25
Meet Lemon. She is smart, strong, a great VP, even tho quite young. She is quite the character addition to this series. However, I found all the vulgarity to be quite distracting to her story.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narration is just the best! Umi Markkanen can make any story interesting. She lays out all the f bombs and steamy talk with ease. 5 stars plus for her.

Unputdownable
Revisado: 03-20-25
"Your next unputdownable thriller." is right. I couldn't put it down! It bounced between past and present with some chapters ending on little cliffhangers. The characters were interesting. The plot was complicated and mysterious.
The narrator was excellent. She presented the characters great. Her male voices were believable. I highly recommend this one.
