Historia
Mysterious gateways are appearing throughout the universe, bridging violent civilizations, leading to war, and sowing chaos. While some species succumb to the pandemonium, the Chut’un forge an unholy symbiotic relationship—The Order—with red Europhids, a vast hive intelligence populating the universe’s far reaches. Desiring structure and fearing the unknown, they cull everything opposed to their plan, including the Europhids’ blue counterparts, carrying out a galactic genocide until only one blue Europhid remains...inside Moses Montgomery, a.k.a. "Dark Horse".

I couldn't handle the reader
Revisado: 08-24-22
I like the idea of this book, I just couldn't listen to it. I tried. I feel bad for all the work that was put into this book.

Terrible

I wanted to like this and probably would if it had a different narrator. I have nearly 1000 books in my library and maybe returned 2 or 3... I want to return this.

I like to listen to books as I fall asleep and some tend to keep me awake. That said, I really enjoyed trying to fall asleep as they explored the unity.
Some didn't like the little girl. I thought she was cute and understand how she could swoon hearts away. Her character is comparible to Skippy. Yes she did have a lot of parts, but I disagree with comments saying she had too many parts.
I'm a grown ass man and frankly, I would also have a hard time not petting the doggie. Mind you, I would make sure to get that consent form in as I would not want him to literally bite my head off.

I couldn't get through it
Revisado: 03-13-20
Narration is bad. Plot line felt more like a checklist. As another reviewer said the "lone wolf" actually has a partner the entire time and help from "nationally acclaimed" people not to mention that buddy with a private jet.

Historia
The story begins as Colleen and Newell Cerak first learn the doubtful, then shocking news that their daughter, buried five weeks earlier, is still alive. Forming a backdrop to the reunion are the faces of the Van Ryn family, strangers to the Ceraks, who are just coming to terms with the harsh reality that the girl whose bedside they have been posted at for five weeks is not their daughter after all - and that their own daughter, Laura, has already been buried under the name of Whitney Cerak.

Amazing story!
Revisado: 02-11-15
I have followed this story since the beginning and it has stuck in my mind for years. Hearing the details from so many involved was so great! I know the book was meant to tell the story of how great God was through this tragedy but I will say that it became a distracting for me due to how much they consistently spoke about God. It became a bit overwhelming and felt a bit excessive for me, who is someone that isn't hugely religious. I wanted to hear the story about two families, there tragedy, loss and the bonds that were forged over such a tragic mistake. As a reader and a non religious person I would have like about 20% less God talk. Still great story and I'm so very glad they wrote the book. I'd love to see the movie someday!
