Now, Billy did believe in ghosts. Missy, completely whole again, if only for a brief moment in time, moved into the real world so that he could see and hear her singing. She began with the song she chose five years ago, stepping out of the shadows into a convenient patch of moonlight filtering in through the dirty clouds above them, looming over them like big gray ghosts.

A final conclusion to a chilling tale

The final chapter of Boyer's horror epically concludes with a fated showdown between rivals Sampson and Billy. The narration brought the story above and beyond, with a clear, concise tone, nice pace, and the perfect voice for the material. I especially enjoyed the different voice characterizations of the characters, staying close to the base but clearly delineated nonetheless.
Overall, a fitting end to this horror book experience.

This chapter of the book is exquisitely brought to life by the narrator's excellent skills. His voice is clear, well-paced, and very suited for the material, making this audiobook chapter great overall.
The writing is very descriptive, and evocative of modern horror, certainly catering to the darker narrative side of things. It definitely made me curious about the philosophical aspects being explored in the story.
