This book was excellent. The way it tells the story of the man in power or should I say pigs in power is disturbing and yet it happen in the past and it is still happening.

Con una narración nítida, que te transporta y te hace vivir, sentir y oler cada instante. La manera de la escritora casi poética de contar una historia cargada de historia, de tiempo.
Esta novela reivindica a la escritora con el ultimo libro que leí de ella. Me deja pensando que tal vez, quizás, no encuentre otra que la iguale.

Life is what we make of it. Artemio lived with what life gave him and made what best he could with it.

this book is so amazing. I love every minute of it. the narrator was superb. I could feel everything as Artemio did. one of the best book in a while.

I just say, that I just had to finished what I started.

the story was very predictable, I knew what was going to happen way before, and that is not good. I knew from the beginning who was who and what have they done. I like Isabel Allende's books, but this one was not the best.
