Puns and references to other fandoms are getting old

I love the story to see where Artorian is going, but the constant puns and references to other works have gotten old. At times they come in so fast I’m not listening to the book but remembering or racking my brain on where the reference material is from (Hitchhikers Guide for example). I don’t know if I’ll be continuing this series.

I really liked the story, but the music and sound effects were too loud at parts to hear what was being read. Other times, they seemed to get louder for action scenes and just blasted through my earbud.
