Historia
Gender identity ideology is about more than Twitter storms and using the right pronouns. In just 10 years, laws, company policies, school and university curricula, sport, medical protocols, and the media have been reshaped to privilege self-declared gender identity over biological sex. People are being shamed and silenced for attempting to understand the consequences of redefining "man" and "woman". While compassion for transgender lives is well-intentioned, it is stifling much-needed inquiry into the significance of our bodies.

Couldn’t understand reader
Revisado: 05-07-23
I listened to about 15 minutes and had to stop. Because of Helen’s soft voice and thick accent I was not able to understand about 1/3 of what she was saying. I am just one of those persons who has a difficult time processing such speech. I will however get the book instead.

Historia
In this “vital, necessary, and beautiful book” (Michael Eric Dyson), antiracist educator Robin DiAngelo deftly illuminates the phenomenon of white fragility and “allows us to understand racism as a practice not restricted to 'bad people'" (Claudia Rankine). Referring to the defensive moves white people make when challenged racially, white fragility is characterized by emotions such as anger, fear, and guilt and by behaviors including argumentation and silence. These behaviors, in turn, function to reinstate white racial equilibrium and prevent meaningful cross-racial dialogue.

Pseudointellectual psychoanalysis
Revisado: 07-16-20
The book can be summed up very simply. If you are white, you are a racist, even if you aren't aware of your racism. If you are white and you reject the assertion that you are racist, you are in denial of that fact which is a sign of your fragility, and your unwillingness to give up your racism because you benefit from it so mightily. There is a great deal of psychoanalysis and mind reading that the author engages in by using straw man conversations that really show how shallow her main argument is. I feel this book is largely a work of projection by the author as evidenced by her recounting of her personal experiences with blacks. It appears to me that the author suffers from a great deal of white guilt, and she clearly thinks all whites should feel that way as well. This type of psychoanalysis is typical of Leftists, for they have done the same thing with climate change skeptics. They just can't understand how others do not believe as they do, so they try via the appeal to authority by using so-called studies and pseudointellectual works such as this book to expose the mental defects that prevents others from understanding how they are so wrong. I have seen where others do not recommend this book. However, I do recommend this book so that when it shows up in your child's backpack, you will have a complete understanding of it. This book has no place as a widespread learning tool in the public school system for it is a propaganda tool by a Leftist to be used to indoctrinate children to a particular way of thinking.

Historia
The award-winning climate scientist Michael E. Mann and the Pulitzer Prize-winning political cartoonist Tom Toles have been on the front lines of the fight against climate denialism for most of their careers. They have witnessed the manipulation of the media by business and political interests and the unconscionable play to partisanship on issues that affect the well-being of billions. The lessons they have learned have been invaluable, inspiring this brilliant escape hatch from the madhouse of the climate wars.

Mann exposes himself as a leftist
Revisado: 03-16-19
His rhetoric outside his parade of horribles validates it. He is a typical leftist who uses his credentials as a scientist to advance his agenda. Where have we seen that before? The FBI, DOJ, and IRS maybe.
