I love long books. I really appreciate the narrator too. But this title kept re-downloading on every refresh of my library. Then it lost my progress somewhere after 10+hours of listening and I'm done.

unexpectedly fun

i picked these up because it's graphic audio, who did wonders with the stormlight archives. even though these types of detective books are usually not my jam, they were a lot of fun to listen to, given the fantasy tie-ins.

this book is not as the title suggests about the history of sugar, but about the history of slavery around the production of sugar. if you're looking for a book that mentions a reference to slavery every other sentence and are not interested in the actual history of the substance that fattened the world, this is the book for you...

this book has some of the worst time travel mechanics I've ever seen, to the point it left me laughing at it. which, I assume, was not the author's intent. should be remarketed as a dollar romance novel. how on earth is this a bestseller??

There are not many authors who manage to write a 56+ hour audiobook without it ever feeling slow or padded. This latest installment in the stormlight archives once more does not disappoint, it entertains from start to finish. I cannot wait for the next workweek-and-a-half installment!!
