This is a great book all around, but Andrea Parsneu really brings it to life. I highly recommend this book and pretty much anything she narrates!

NOT FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT SURVIVORS

I don't feel that the description of this book is very accurate. First of all, I'm NOT a "sensitive" listener, but as a sexual assault survivor, I find this book immensely unrealistic and offensive. (Offensive because you wouldn't actually feel pleasure from a forced sexual interaction, even if your body responds with an orgasm - you feel disgust, shame, and embarrassment).

Stockholm syndrome is one thing, but this Sydney character is just all messed up. Perhaps this character DID have Stockholm syndrome from the first experience with Garrett, but that's not what's going on with Merc....I find the whole situation through chapter 21 (as far as I got) absolutely disgusting. This book seems to be some type of attempt at a rape fantasy. It also promotes purity culture with Sydney being put on a pedestal for being a virgin, but I won't get into that.

Main point: I regret wasting a credit on this title and absolutely would NOT recommend this book to anyone.

Again, it's "couldn't care less!!"

unfortunately, my only complaint still applies to this book as well - the phrase is "couldn't care less," meaning you could not care any less....author never got this memo, so she still said "could care less" again throughout this book.

I enjoyed this book, but just wanted to leave a review letting the author know the phrase is "couldn't care less;" not "could care less." This made me cringe every single time Rook said it. Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed the book!

Everything is "in an instant"

I enjoy the story, but would like to suggest that the author refrain from using the phrase "in an instant" constantly throughout the book. I understand they're vampires and move quickly, but at times it seems that phrase is used 4 times in one paragraph.

Slow start, but good story

It took me a few chapters to really become invested in the story (a bit much sex in the beginning), but once the book begins to have more story than sex it was easy to get hooked on. (I have no qualms with lots of sex, but it seemed to hinder the beginning for me).

This book is certainly worth listening to! It has action, horror/ gore, and some romance thrown in as well. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a zombie/vampire story in an apocalyptic setting. Checks many favs off my list@

Good Fantasy Romance Story

The narrator is excellent, and I certainly enjoyed the story enough to finish all 15 books! The only criticism I can think of is that the author used the phrase "in an instant" entirely too much. Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys an adult fantasy romance type story!
