I’m submitting a review because the listeners of the first novel want to know if it it’s worth it. It is. I am just as interested going forward as I was before I purchased this novel. Well done, I’m waiting for more.

Denton Wade is dying. And Cyberternal Industries has the answer. An answer he isn't willing to accept: life everlasting in a game world of fantasy, swords, and magic. EndWorld Everlasting. A man-made afterlife. It goes against everything he's always believed in. But there might still be hope. And hope is a very dangerous thing.

This is a LitPRG starter book so you’d have to have a high tolerance for the MC being a “total noob”. Not a bad start, but the MC goes from skeptical and logical to polite dumbass really quickly once he finds people. Makes me wish he got sent to the middle of nowhere and never ran into anyone for a while. I know it’s for the readers to get to know how the world works, but at some point explaining an MCs ignorance becomes stupidity, particularly when they supposedly know how RPGs work. CHECK YOUR DAMN INVENTORY!!!

Much better than most
Revisado: 08-23-24
These are lazy writing strategies in this genre that DON’T appear in this novel.
1. The MC repeats everything they hear for readers context
2. The MC is so dazed/lost in their thoughts that they need prompting to answer the last question asked.
3. The MC claims to read isekai novels/manga and supposedly plays RPGs, but are then surprised to find out about looting functions and spacial rings/bags.
4. The opposite sex makes their brains explode.

Ajax is one of Earth’s most elite, a Paladin pilot, and trusted to fly the most advanced starfighters humanity ever produced. His carrier and the rest of the fleet have fallen back, the recent damage from the elven betrayal making it impossible to stay in the fight. He knows they’ll return, and they’ll treat this world to the same kind of plasma bombardment that the elves had inflicted on Mother Earth. The real problem for Ajax, though, is that he’s parachuting down onto it now, his arm broken.

Very fun and promising for a series
Revisado: 07-18-24
I bought this because the summary told me I’d like it if I liked the Iron Prince, but the only things this novel and the Iron Prince have in common are that they’re both based around interplanetary warfare, they’re both 20+ hours of engaging storytelling, and they’re both fun as hell.

I’m only still following this series because of all the asides so as you can imagine just how shocked and disappointed I was to hear only one or two usages of my favorite phrase. WHAT DID I MISS??

Historia
With Randidly Ghosthound's help, humanity has withstood the first impact of the System. Old institutions are re-erected as the Zones settle into new normalcy, characterized by the enthusiastic application of the scientific method to System principles and the stubborn return of pop culture and consumerism. Yet these familiar edifices of stability conceal an altogether new breed of monster. One that bears the face of a human but the beating heart of a horror. Randidly continues to investigate the mysterious Father Foster, the central figure of the rapidly expanding Unity Church.

30% Randidly at most
Revisado: 06-04-24
I really like this series but a lot of the time I just want to hear what Randidly is up to, not what the many side characters are doing. I get that ‘the plot is building’ but there’s a difference between content and context, and the past few novels have been practically all context. I could be wrong, but I feel like nobody is here for how fleshed out the world is, we’re here for Randidly doing ridiculous Randidly stuff.

MC is an asshat
Revisado: 04-14-24
I kept waiting for Jon to become a likable, and it doesn’t seem like it’s gonna happen. He acts like a petulant child, and there is way too much foreplay going on in his mind, particularly sowhen interacting with the elf dude.

Historia
A new update arrives to the ultra-popular online game, Realm of Arkon. With Patch 17, the level of immersion experienced by players in their gaming capsules has made virtual reality indistinguishable from the real world. But every gamer's dream becomes a nightmare for Roman Kozhevnikov after he gets confined to Arkon against his will. And not just to Arkon, but to its deadliest zone - Demon Grounds. Playing - or rather living - as his character Krian, it's not just about survival for Roman.

MC isn’t an idiot
Revisado: 01-16-24
There are sooo many novels of this type out there, and about 85% of them end up sucking balls. This has promise. It isn’t too annoying with stat sheets, you won’t find yourself irritated at constant bad decisions for the sake of explaining video game mechanics. Another bonus is that the MC doesn’t have the same exact build as the vast majority of similar series’.
What kind of irritated me at the last second was the ‘Friend of MC receives a unique instance/quest/skill just so that later down the line the side characters aren’t useless. Big eye roll, and a waste of a chunk of time, but I guess it might be worth it. Definitely worth the credit tho!

RAISE YOUR WISDOM, PLEASE!!!
Revisado: 12-25-23
This dude is a damn moron. For someone who brags of being a ‘huge gamer’, he sure acts like someone who’s never played a video game. Forgetting to loot chests, allocate stats, you know, the things that’ll keep him alive if he needs them immediately, ya know, because his life is on the line. Obviously this is for the sake of the few listeners who don’t know how games work, and they do this to a degree in every LitRPG series but they really dumb it down here.
The problem he has with blurting out the things that come to mind is cringeworthy sometimes, and not in the way the author wants, in a way where nobody would ever say that. And he is also kind of an ass and complains about a lot of stuff he should be satisfied with, and a lot of other stuff. But he can be occasionally funny, and it’s not the worst LitRPG I’ve ever heard, so it’s worth the length.

Meet Threadbare. He is 12 inches tall, full of fluff, and really, really bad at being a hero. Magically animated and discarded by his maker as a failed experiment, he is saved by a little girl. But she's got problems of her own, and he might not be able to help her. Fortunately for the little golem, he's quick to find allies, learn skills, gain levels, and survive horrible predicaments. Which is good, because his creator has a whole lot of enemies …

Adorable occultism and heartwarming action!
Revisado: 12-16-23
Sometimes LitRPG novels can be too stat-sheet based, sometimes they push too hard for a likable MC, and sometimes they over-explain the simplest situation to prove how ‘complex’ the MC’s reasoning is. Worst of all is when 2/3rds of the story is introspective and the predictable thing still ends up happening, good grief!
But this one is not like that! I mean, some of it is predictable, and the stat sheet is prevalent, but every story is predictable in one way or another, and LitRPG’s in general revolve around stat sheets, at least they should, otherwise what’s the point, hidden stats notwithstanding.
Anyways, this story was very refreshing, and the narrator is PERFECT for a teddy bear. The Japanese cat boss character alone is worth the credit, I cracked up a few times during that whole situation. On to book 2!
