Historia
The trichinosis worm is one of nature's most revolting parasites. Certain types of this tiny worm alter a host's DNA by injecting a virus which mutates the reproductive system. This forces the host to bear the worm's young. Typically these worms are never longer than a few millimeters. But guess what? Now there’s a subspecies that's 30 feet long.

Good but not great.
Revisado: 03-27-14
The story was ok but it wasn't the best written. The performance was good. To me it felt like the story became tedious in certain spots.

Historia
Evolution is about to be kicked in the teeth by some very large feet. It started with a few missing hikers, a not uncommon occurrence for the remote town of Bonanza Creek. Now it's about to get a lot worse. The legendary creatures known as Sasquatch are emerging from the woods, and they're hell-bent on slaughtering everything in their path. The only ones standing in their way are a group of wayward campers, a few scared survivors, and the crew of a cable TV show.

So Slow
Revisado: 09-27-12
For the third time I tried listening to this book and I just couldn't make it. This book is so slow it's brutal. This third time I really tried to let it play out but I just couldn't make it. Basically its a story about a woman and her struggles to make it work after her husband is killed. Then she meets a guy through and elderly woman. They get married. blah blah blah.

Historia
This is the story of Michael Talbot, his family, and his friends: a band of ordinary people trying to get by in extraordinary times. When disaster strikes, Mike, a self-proclaimed survivalist, does his best to ensure the safety and security of those he cares for. Book one of the Zombie Fallout Trilogy follows our lead character at his self-deprecating, sarcastic best. What he encounters along the way leads him down a long dark road, always skirting the edge of insanity.

Excellent. Just how I would act and think.
Revisado: 08-07-12
For the people who thought this was just a slapstick comedy book probably didn't get past the first chapter or two. At first I was kind of turned off from the comedy because it seemed a little much but as the story quickly develops it turns from humor to intense with a good natured laugh or thought here and there.
The story was read by Sean Runnette and his voice turned me off for a while until he grew on me. His voice reminds me of the actor Richard Kind a little bit and that threw me for a loop. It grew on me and I didn't even pay attention the story was so good.
About a third of the way into the second book and can't stop listening.

Great story. Abrupt Ending
Revisado: 07-23-12
This was a great listen. It really made me feel for the young characters. My only problem was that it built up the whole story and then sort of came to a quick end. Like this author.

Historia
When a brutal snowstorm shut down all the flights in and out of Chicago, Todd Curry and a few other stranded passengers rented a Jeep to drive the rest of the way to their destinantions. But along a forested, isolated road, they picked up a disoriented man wandering through the snow. His car wouldn't start and his daughter had vanished. Strangest of all were the mysterious slashes cut into the back of his coat, straight down to the flesh....When they arrived in the nearest town it seemed deserted.

Very Original Good Listen

Any additional comments?
This book was really good. The only problem I had is it left some of the mysteries unsolved. Such as what was the deal with the children and what happened to them? Its not a big part of the story so no spoilers but I just wanted that wrapped up. Very good story and didn't take long for things to start going bad for our heroes.

When linguist Andrew Dennison is yanked from his bed by the Secret Service and taken to a top secret facility in the desert, he has no idea he's been brought there to translate the words of an ancient demon. He joins pretty but cold veterinarian Sun Jones, eccentric molecular biologist Dr. Frank Belgium, and a hodge-podge of religious, military, and science personnel to try and figure out if the creature is, indeed, Satan. But things quickly go bad, and very soon Andy isn't just fighting for his life, but the lives of everyone on earth…

Awesome!
Revisado: 05-29-12
Where does Origin rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Its up there. The story was creepy and twisted all the way through. Just how I like them.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Origin?
Picturing "Bub" speaking for the first time would give me the chills.
What does Luke Daniels bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Did a really good job with different characters. I was never confused about who was speaking.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Hang on to your shorts... and bring an extra pair!
Any additional comments?
This story was fast paced and kept me listening all throughout. Looking into the different characters' past was quick and insightful without taking you away from the story. Author and narrator had me freaked on what was coming next. Putting myself in the same situation as the main character I could see the same reactions. I would highly recommend. I didn't know what to expect and was delivered a gem.

While deep in the South American jungle, Conklin's nephew, Sam, stumbles upon a remarkable site nestled between two towering peaks, a place hidden from human eyes for thousands of years. Ingenious traps have been laid to ensnare the careless and unsuspecting, and wealth beyond imagining could be the reward for those with the courage to face the terrible unknown.

Good Story But...
Revisado: 05-29-12
Any additional comments?
This story was good but to me the parts that really had me interested were rushed through. I thought the crew was really going to get into some long term good action and investigation when they entered the cavern but to me it fell flat. It seemed like an Indiana Jones book with about half the action. In my opinion the story fell kind of flat about 3/4 of the way though. I would recommend a listen just don't have expectations so high as I did to not disapoint. One question I never did get the answer to is: What did the markings on the back of the cross mean? Anyone?
