Must have for MFM fans

If you're already a fan of My Favorite Murder, you need to have this book. If you've never listened to the podcast, maybe you've heard of it but haven't given it a go, this is a great introduction to these wonderful ladies. It would give you some insight into who they are and help you feel like you know them before downloading one single episode. Either way, it's one I know I'll listen to more than once.

True crime fans will appreciate this one

The story pulls you along effortlessly and the amount of research she did was amazing. I think any true crime fan will appreciate this book. It's heartbreaking that Michelle didn't live to see him arrested. Especially when you hear her theories about the DNA. This is something that she just KNEW was the key to this. There is a lot of information here, so I know I'll be listening again soon, which makes it a very worthy purchase. But, maybe I'm biased after listening to My Favorite Murder. #HotForHoles

A fitting end

If you loved the 1st two books of this series, you'll be happy to see this family continue on through civil rights and the cold war. I ended this book in tears, not just because the series was at an end, but because it reminded me of a time when hope and love won over fear and hatred. Maybe someday we'll be in that place again.

Good book, but audiobook not so much

Why this narrator?

You know what strikes me as odd?
This story is about a poor Chinese boy who makes his way to a good college by learning and excelling in English and YET the narrator can barely speak it! Awkward pauses in the middle of sentences, completely mispronounced words and even the total wrong words at times; puppets in place of puppies, for example. It's distracting to the quality story and I'm sure affected my overall perception.
