I didn’t know that there were bad guys in real life. Dangerous ones with no moral compass.

I downloaded it and listened to it on the 6-hr ride home and it was so good. It was SO good. I loved the characters. I love the story. I really liked the writing a lot. It was just an awesome premise. The narrator was great. def recommend

I started listening to this audiobook on a solo drive home. 15 minutes from home I called my husband to warn him: "Be ready."
God bless the man I married. He slayed the dragon but the loss of fluids has taken its toll.
I tucked him in and am currently restricting him to a diet of pineapples, protein and Gatorade as I prepare to go back and start the first book in this series.

well, it is a dark romance...

the hero is possessive and controlling, but that's kinda the whole point. the dark romance label is for their relationship dynamic as well as some traumas in the past. but Lachlan Duke is jealous/possessive Hero perfection. his love for Lyla is fierce, and his determination to be and stay with her never wavers. Joe Arden and Kasha Kensington absolutely nail the narration, making this the perfect book for romance and hockey lovers who enjoy "he falls first" books.
