A slow-burn erotica passage of a mid-thirties wife's adventurous turn involving two college ladies. When the heat starts rising, the temperature of the erotica goes beyond the boiling point. Paris Rivera writes the stories of wet dreams very expertly. This first-person narrative, with Eva McCoy's seductive reading, keeps the reader close to the action, and well.. you get the point. 😉

my favorite McMan/West book

Hoosier Daddy by Ann McMan and Salem West is my favorite of these author's books. Christine Williams narrates in a deep, penetrating voice, which adds nuance to the colorful romance. I love how familiar this story sounds, in that the characters are people you'd probably run into at any country supermarket.

The connection between Jill and El is real. You know right away that they're meant for each other, but the practicality of their circumstance, and Jill's pragmatism with feeling stuck in southern Indiana, gives way to doubt, which makes it a steamy, slow burn. The romance is wrapped around their comedic encounters in familiar facilities, as well as, every day happenings in a small town with its assembly work, social conventions, and gossip.

This audiobook, delivered in a voice that is sexy and funny, is well suited to the McMan/West novels. I have listened to Hoosier Daddy for the second time, and it is just as enjoyable and laugh-out-loud funny as the first time. Give me some time, and there will be a third, and probably a fourth, time listening or reading this book. Thankyou for the ride.

Interesting romance

Until We Break is one of the first audiobooks I’ve listened to where I did not like one of the main characters, possibly even both of them. That being said, Cynthia Dane and Hildred Billings offers one of the most interesting relationships in the lesbian romance genre. Stefani, a successful winery owner decides for a marriage of convenience with Yulia, from Russia. What makes this interesting is that through most of it, I find myself asking, ‘how will this work, and why should it?’, but the authors eventually find a way to make it work. Trish Thompson does an excellent job with narrating many different voices, though her voice for Yulia does seem a little stiff and stereotypical Russian. There are times where Yulia’s accent is perfectly set for her deeds. The journey is worth the listen. Thankyou to Trish Thompson for the complementary access to this audiobook. This is a great first-Lesfic-narration; Cynthia Dane and Hildred Billings chose well to have their fascinating story read by Trish Thompson.

Nice & quiet love

Trapped by Sally Bryan was a very well written story of an enemy to friends romance. The pace, timing, and landscape of this novel/audiobook was expertly laid to make the romance between Jess and Katelyn very believable. This tale comes with a bit of a twist. The lithe of Ginny Ellis's voice was a pleasant narration, and made listening very enjoyable.

Lovely and deep story

The Promise by Claire Highton-Stevenson is a deeply felt story of love and loss and love again. It is so apparent, the love between Susan and Ali, especially during the hard times when Susan is going through her cancer therapy. I love how Highton-Stevenson shows us how difficult it is for Ali to accept what is going on with Susan, yet she gives in because she realizes how best to support her in this journey. In the second part of the book where the input of Susan into Ali's psyche and memory, shows a real perspective of keeping someone who is deeply loved close and at hand. The slow burn between Ali and Blair is just the right speed, and gives authenticity to their relationship. Kelsey Navarro's narration made the audiobook enjoyable to listen, as her flow and change of voices were even and precisely rhythmed depending on the mood. Thankyou for this beautifully written and narrated piece of work.

Sweet love story

Hungry Hearts by Saxon Bennett & Layce Gardner is such a sweet love story. It's about love, understanding, sacrifice, and taking chances. It's much more than a tale of two hearts falling for each other, but many hearts welcoming and embracing the love of someone special. One might assume the stars of this story are Claudia and Kate, but the real stars are the 10-year-old Tornado Twins, Punk and Charlie. This is an awesome and fun audiobook, as narrated by Layce, who really uses her vocal talent to include various characters from the elderly to young children, and in between.

Crazy Love

I seriously think that Layce Gardner & Saxon Bennett spent a weekend emptying out an entire wine cellar while creating Big Love. This is a fun and crazy lesbian rom-com fairy tale of guardian angels, humans, and lots of donuts. I could smell the sugary glaze. Layce gives a great performance in narrating this audiobook.

Crazy and Wacky

More Than a Kiss by Layce Gardner & Saxon Bennett is about the wackiest of all their audiobooks to which I've listened. You have to take the tale of Jordan and Amy with a bowl of salt. Regardless, if you don't mind over the top, it has the humor and hopelessly hopeful love story that we are used to from these crazy lady writers. It really makes you wonder what their breakfast conversation is before and after their coffee. That fly must be splitting its wings. They should be SNL writers. Layce lent a multitude of voices that kept me entertained, as usual. Thankyou.

Nice short story...

The Wish list by Saxon Bennett & Layce Gardner was an enjoyable short-range romantic story of late blooming and slow burning love. I like how Maggie and Celia eventually realize their love for each other, but never assumes the other is willing. This creates relatable feelings for many readers. I would imagine, most times, one-sided. The supporting characters are both supportive and aggressively biased of LGBTQ+ relationships, which give a very realistic bent to their situation. Layce narrates with a slightly lighter tone, which sets this story with more seriousness. Thankyou.

Loved it...

I loved this story of Vivian and Lee by Saxon Bennett and Layce Gardner through and through. It had me laughing and crying. I even forgot my kettle and had to forego tea. They are two of the best story tellers. Layce’s narration is brilliant. Thankyou. But you owe me tea, and possibly a new kettle.
