Trorm Coldstorm is an orcish foreign exchange student attending college to learn wizardry on a football scholarship. The plan was simple. Play football, learn magic, stay out of trouble. Nothing has gone as planned. Things are finally turning around for Trorm when Nymal's sister shows up demanding help casting an illegal and dangerous spell that can manipulate time. When both Trorm and Nymal refuse, things go horribly wrong. Now there's a monster on the loose with the ability to shove people backwards in time, reverting them to who they used to be and carrying a deep hatred for Trorm.

As in any series, the first book is always the biggest 'wow' factor. I'm not exactly sure where the story line is going, but book 2 continues the mayhem and follows Trorm as he continues to develop his magic skills and his relationships with friends and his ladies.
The author puts a lot of thought into the little side stories as to how each character became who they are now, so it's not just fluff thrown out to cover for a sex scene. I'm not into LGBT stuff but there's plenty of traditional intimate relationships, so it's not the main focus of the story - just part of one of the characters.
Still an entertaining series.

Trorm finds himself facing a slew of stereotypes and misconceptions about who, and what, he is. Everyone he meets expects him to be a dumb savage who's just there to play football. But Trorm is not dumb. He's a skilled wizard in his own right, and when he finds himself embroiled in a dark plot by sinister cultists, he'll show everyone just how intelligent and savage he truly is.

Great fun and exciting story!

I saw how highly rated the written story was on Amazon, and thought this sounded like a pretty fun story. I'm very glad I tried it out! Great characters, constant non-stop action, with fun humor throughout the story, and the sex scene wasn't the main theme, just part of the story.
So this first time author did a fantastic job making a truly entertaining story. And the narrator did a great job with character voices. I was thoroughly kept enthralled after each chapter, eager to hear the next.
Definitely going to continue with this series! Next please!
