Excellent but scary story

This is not an easy story to listen to. I'm from Boston and it's a story I was familiar with. the outrage I felt then is still the same now. it was good to hear a bit more detail not just what we all heard on the news. The story underscore deliberate hiding of the perpetrators and frankly the dismissive attitude of the church towards the victims. The worst part is that could've been avoided.

Wow what a story

Though I didn't agree with everything, lady Campbell said I do believe it I believe her sources are impeccable and that she took her time and patience to research these stories. And wow, what stories I've always been a follower of the royal family and learned so many new things. All I could think of was that it was Wallis and Edward 2.0 now since the publishing of this book with the death of the queen and the birth of another child, the story is just gone crazier. I sure hope lady Campbell writes another book about the pair

Definitely a new twist on the story

I'm a huge fan of Royal biographies and after seeing the authors lecture on YouTube was really anxious to read the story. Now I've read books on Wallis the Queen Mother and others and this was the most detail oriented one the backup information the author was able to find to prove all his claims is incredible. Definitely puts the Duke and Duchess of Windsor in a new like fascinating story, I'm actually gonna relisten to it again, because it was just so much information. Excellent read

A rare peek inside royal life

Tina Brown does excellent job reading-her story and presenting both sides so that you could argue who was right who was wrong. She really showcases the old British guard and snobbery and they need to expand social norms and racial divide

So many sides to the story

I enjoyed this book very much it was an interesting point of view. I thought it was well researched and the performance of the narrator very good. Just when you thought you knew everything about the story after watching YouTube videos and documentaries this was a different way to look at Wallis and Edward and my conclusion after listening all the way through was that there were no winners in any of this no one would give an inch not the royal family not Edward not Wallace and in the end it really was so much sadness I believe they did have a great love healthy probably not but devoted to each other.

Everybody wanted their own way and all this if someone anyone had just given an inch much of the problems everyone’s stubbornness created could’ve been avoided. They were truly no winners at the end and history was irrevocably changed
