Historia
Did the historical person Jesus really regard himself as the Son of God? What did Jesus actually stand for? And what are we to make of the early Christian conviction that Jesus physically rose from the dead? In this book, N. T. Wright considers these and many other questions raised by three controversial books about Jesus: Barbara Thiering's Jesus the Man, A. N. Wilson's Jesus: A Life, and John Shelby Spong's Born of a Woman.

I struggled with this book. it should be about Jesus but it is mostly about Wright's disagreements and agreements with different authors on the person of Jesus.

Historia
Many know the tragic story of Anne Frank, the teen whose life ended at Auschwitz during the Holocaust. But most people don’t know about Eva Schloss, Anne’s playmate and stepsister. Though Eva, like Anne, was taken to Auschwitz at the age of 15, her story did not end there. This incredible memoir recounts - without bitterness or hatred - the horrors of war, the love between mother and daughter, and the strength and determination that helped a family overcome danger and tragedy.

those that fail to learn from history are doom to repeat it.
This story is a powerful reminder of the darkness of the human heart and the glimmers of hope that shine through.

Historia
Historians consider the Haitian Revolution the most successful slave revolt in all of history. Though many fought in the rebellion, one man ensured their victory: Toussaint Louverture. With his political savvy and leadership skills, this former slave helped the inhabitants of what was then called Saint Domingue to challenge their French oppressors.

What is prayer? The question is rather straightforward, but with a bit of consideration, you might find there is no easy answer. In Why People Pray, Rabbi Mordecai Schreiber examines this elusive nature of prayer, as well as the history of formal prayer and how it has been shaped - and continues to be shaped - by an era of unprecedented globalization.

This was a good book to listen to about pray. it is always interesting to learn about different religions and how their traditions affect their lives. the only issue that I had with this audio book was the monotone like voice, that seemed to make it drag on and on.

Historia
William Wallace started out as a humble knight, but he died a war hero. He gave up everything in his fight for Scottish freedom, including his life. When captured, Wallace was hung, drawn, and quartered by the English king for crimes against the crown. Though he was memorialized in the 1995 film Braveheart, this book tells how much of what we associate with Wallace is more legend than fact. Still, the spirit of the great Scotsman lives on in the hearts and minds of his compatriots today.
