Very disappointed in the hero character
Revisado: 06-26-24
Very disappointed in last 3 books by Felix. They are just not even close to Dick Francs books. This main character is such a whiner. I don’t like him at all. It’s really boring court story with tons of unnecessary info. Ugh.

Historia
Undercover investigator Jeff Hinkley is assigned by the British Horseracing Authority to look into the activities of a suspicious racehorse trainer, but as he’s tailing his quarry, Jeff bears witness to a bloody murder. Could it have something to do with the reason the trainer was banned in the first place—the administration of illegal drugs to his horses?

Not even close to Dick Francis
Revisado: 06-26-24
Predictable with so many mistakes in hero’s actions. Unlike in Dick Francis stories Felix makes the heroes seem dumber and unheroic. This was my third book by Felix and I am not going to get another one. RIP Dick Francis.

Main character is not likable
Revisado: 04-29-24
For many reasons main character seems to be a snitch. That is very unusual and unfortunate for Francis book. Also the split into two crimes doesn’t work the way author intended. Disappointed
