The narrator captured the characters just right

This was a clever follow up to book 1. BUT….
Some parts were super predictable.
The bad ex turning evil 🙄 Chewy not being the bodyguard we hoped for

The new aliens brought into this episode were interesting. Not sure if I would have made them strippers but hey it is Vegas 🧐🤔😏 River’s best friend is the most annoying here. He’s an epic eye roll for me.

River and Kai are still interesting enough to keep the story engaging. The biology of Kai is intriguing. What will come of it in book 3?!?I’m definitely getting the audio for that. Greg does an excellent job of capturing the vibe of each character. It made the book that much more entertaining! Some parts will make you seriously laugh out loud. The narration of Greg made of this book made it really come to life. I enjoyed it immensely!

Gut punch of emotions

With most reviews, I write them as I listen to the book BUT with this book I couldn’t. I literally had no words, just emotions. I was never sure if the punches to the gut would end or if these two lost souls would ever find happiness.

There are many parts that are so deeply sad. You wallow in the grief. Ethan has lost so much and is scared of the water for very good reasons. Victor’s only refuge is the water. He’s an Olympic caliber swimmer. Victor has been traumatized by the people who he was supposed to trusted the most. This has turned him into a recluse. Fate throws these two together and the journey to their HEA is fraught with emotional moments and epically sad backstories.

I’m happy I listened to this but I also should mention that you definitely should heed the TWs for this book. I’m glad the book ended so hopefully. These characters deserved the happiness. The narration was excellent and really captured the feeling and vibe well.

Joel did an amazing job on this narration

I loved how Joel brought Jesse and Zeb to life. The snark, the banter and some serious sparks between these characters made this fun listen. Zeb is SO prickly and Jesse is his complete opposite. It’s was angsty and you could tell they’d be together eventually. The getting there was part of the fun. Really enjoyed the story and the narration. I’m going to really look forward to the rest of the series narration!

Krew gets his HEA

Krew we’ve been aquatinted with for a few books. Adam Gold’s narration really made Krew so much more enjoyable to listen to!

We get Krew’s backstory and it’s as sad as you’d think. It makes him not trust love.

Maxwell enters his life and basically takes a wrecking ball to his notions about love. How he always thought he should keep everyone at arms length. Maxwell has a sad backstory as well. He’s ready to try love again. The voice Adam uses for Maxwell is SO sexy. I loved it.

NGL, I wished Krew’s parents suffered some consequences. Sadly, they skated by. Ugh. Those parents!

Maxwell and Krew needed each other and their HEA was sweeter than expected. Loved the narration.
I look forward to the next book in audio. Adam does excellent work on this series. Highly recommend!

Intense love story

This narration was done very well.
Timber and Andrew had distinct voices. This was a very intense romance.
Both MCs willing to do anything for the other one. It was romantic AND hot.
I really loved the story. This narrator is new to me but I really liked his voice for this book.

If you like age gap with light Daddy kink plus spankings! This book is for you! Loved it. So sexy and hot.
Great chemistry makes this audio extra hot.

Perfect conclusion to a wonderful series

Micheal Dean just really captures the perfect tone for this series. NGL, I love his Davey voice best.
In this volume, Davey finally gets his HEA.

Book 5: Rules to Obey

Jeff has been going through the motion of life and not really living. An auction brings him into Marcus’s life. Marcus has noticed Jeff for awhile and wants him as a permanent part of his life. Davey sneaks into the story as well.

This story made me laugh and also tear up a bit. Jeff has a very sad backstory but Marcus truly helps him through it all! It was SO amazing the love and care they showed each other.

I loved this narration and if you are a fan of this series you will too!

Book 6: Making Rules

Getting Raphael and Sammy’s backstory was amazing! How they met! Wow. That was something. Their love story was beautiful. I know how it was to end but now I’ll better understand the next book.

Book 7: Rules to Ignore

What a satisfying conclusion to a wonderful series!

As this series unfolded, I also thought Davey was more Daddy than Boy. He’s a natural caretaker and problem solver. His journey to discovering that for himself takes awhile... but Sammy was worth the wait.
Loved this audio! My favorite of the series!

Love that these come in a bundle

I love this series. Michael Dean’s narration really brought all these distinct voices to life.

It was very convenient to get all of these books together like this. Book 1-4 are in this volume.
As you get to know all the characters in this series, you almost can’t wait until Davey’s book which is in volume 2.
My fave in this bundle was Preston and Bryan. The narration really captures the brattiness of Preston. Truly enjoyable!

Enemies to lovers

The banter in this enemies to lovers story was SO good! You could truly feel the loathing and attraction! There was so much unresolved tension.. it could light up the city of Boston.
Christian and Gordon were very well developed characters. It made it a very fast listen for me. It was a surprisingly slow burn but worth it. The HEA was a bit unexpected too but it worked for them.
I look forward to reading book 2!

Adam Gold really brought these characters to life!

Finn and Aven meet under difficult circumstances. This is a story of hurt/comfort plus lots of trust and love.
Adam Gold really brought Nicky’s words to life. When listening, you became very engrossed in the book. The special effects he uses are not like any I've ever experienced before in an audiobook. Adam is great at what he does. I’m definitely hooked on his narration style.
This series is one of my favorites and I’m definitely going to want to jump into book 2 ASAP.
