Love, Love, Loved It!!

This is the book that hooked me on Lee Winter and Angela Dawes. I always loved age gap; straight woman meets lesbian romance. and this didn't disappoint. The dialog between Maddie Grey and Elena Bartell was precious. I loved what she did with the supporting cast. They were not just background noise, particular Felicity Simmons. I loved her so much that I bookmarked all of her conservations. Angela Dawes did an amazing job with the narration, especially the banter between Maddie and Felicity. I love Maddie's accent. "So Australian". I am now a true fan of Lee Winter. Keep em coming.

Narration Killed It

One of the things that I love about Lee Winters is that she'll take a supporting cast member from a previous book and give them a starting role. Such is the case here with Alex Levitin, from Breaking Character. An Indie films maker, she was tasked with fixing the "worst movie ever made" into something marketable. A good story, but I could have done without the unnecessary plot twist with biker gangs and sabotage. My biggest problem was the narration. It was just plain bad. The narrator's accent was more Assuie than British and there was no distinction from one character to the next. Where's Angela Dawes when you need her?

LOL FUNNY!

This has got to be the funniest book I have ever listened too. Makes me glad I have audio. Lori Prince, who can be very inconsistence at times really nailed it on this one. The story was very good but fell a little flat at the end. Still, I couldn't stop laughing. It's kind of embarrassing to be listening on the bus and then burst out with laughter. Monica and Ray are my new favorite couple. For now, anyway. The dialog was spot on, and the batter was lol funny. Looking forward to more. Nuff Said.

If This Is The End, Then For Shame!

If this is the end of the Honor Series, then it's a piss, poor way to end a very good series. What happened to Jane Graves? What happened to Russo? How many attempts on the President's life do we have to go through? More questions than answers. And Radclyffee threw in everyone but the kitchen sink in this story. I'm surprised that Reese Colone or Honor Blake didn't make a cameo. So disappointed.

I Love Angela Dawe

As good as the story was, and it was good. I absolutely loved Angela Dawe's performance. I'm old enough to remember Rich Little. The man of a thousand voices. Angela Dawe's not there, but she gave every character a unique voice and they fit the personality that Lee Winter had created for them. I loved the way that she would switch from the deep British accent of Elizabeth Thorton to the lighthearted Summer Haze. Then there was the Texas twang of one of Hope's co-stars, Tori and the French accent of the director to Summer's roommate, Chloe. Just awesome. Oh! And the story was great too. Well worth the read/listen. Maybe twice. I know I did.

Could Have Been Better

I liked the first story. Sugar was a big girl with the voice of an angel, who's in a lesbian relationship with her agent, Ace. She wants to come out, but Ace wants to keep her in the closet, "for the sake of her career". A decent enough story, but could have been better. It's the second story, Queen Con that really turned me off. It started out good, but then just went all over the place. The narrator was horrible and that just made things worst. Once again I fail to understand why black authors have a need for unnecessary violence. And the ending was just, plain stupid. There are better ones than this.

Disappointed

The original summary was far more interesting than the story I got. I do understand about keeping up with the times, but I read fiction to escape from the trappings of real life, so reading about covid was a definite turn off.

Another Cookie Cutter Classic.

I love Radclyfee but I really wish that she would do something more original. It's always the same. Two women with past issues, meet; they fight their attraction; get together for one night of great sex, then HEA. And lets not forget the cameos. Still, out of all the series that Radclyfee has done, the PMC series is my favorite so it'll never give it less than three stars no matter what.

WHAT THE HECK?!?

What the heck? All these stories and narrators and there are only one or two good stories out of the bunch? That sucks! Outside of the two good stories, the rest are just plan boring or just plan bad. If it's not free, it's not worth it.
