I didn't enjoy it. It felt really short and I hated the ending.

It could have been edited for the extra sounds like breathing and swallowing. It was distracting.
Did The Giver inspire you to do anything?
Maybe to look into writing my own dystopian novel. It also inspired me not to see the movie.

Where does The Cuckoo's Calling rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
It ranks at the top. Robert Glenister slips from character to character flawlessly. I hope no one else ever narrates because I now know Cormoran's voice.
What did you like best about this story?
The ending. I love a story where I can't guess the outcome. Great Mystery.
Which scene was your favorite?
Cormoran revealing to the killer how he knows what he didn and why.

I was skeptical at first. I didn't get into the Potter series and didn't see how Rowling could switch over into mystery writing, but of course she did so flawlessly and I can't wait to read the third Strike book.
