Historia
Sun Tzu's The Art of War is a landmark achievement in the evolution of strategic thought. So universal and timeless are its tactics for pursuing a competitive advantage that some of the most notable people in government, sports, and the entertainment world have all quoted from its nearly 2500-year-old pages.

a nice overview
Revisado: 05-01-22
I didnt know what to expect with this....
Was it going to be someone nearly reading AOW to me?
Was it going to be a re-done layover of AoW with something else?
Was it going to be too military focused since he is at the Naval Academy?
Too business-y?
It was none of those things. Surprisingly easy to listen to. I will re-listen. However listen to one that is more tightly aligned with the text...the analysis was good but I felt a bit "wavetop".

refreshingly by someone like us

I'm not a reader of her blog, I found this book as a suggestion from audible based on my other listening.
This and her decluttering book are such a breath of fresh air. It is so nice to hear someone say aloud the things that I've thought to myself but couldn't articulate well. Things I was ashamed about. All of it. I listen to both books while cleaning to keep me motivated, some of her stories are funny and her delivery is real-talking to you.
This book isn't a Martha-Stewart-esque book that tells you how to use qtips and butter to clean the crevices in the back of your spoons to Governor's Mansion perfection, instead it helps you get into a routine of staying on top of your house.
I recommend the two books to anyone who says they want to declutter or keep a better house.
I've seen reviews that say the PDF isnt there, it is - on both desktop and in app.

Parenting advice isn't hard to find. There are thousands of books on the subject, as well as a multitude of websites. Much has also been written on the science of child development. What's been lacking, however, are sources of reliable advice that bring together the scientific research and its real-world applications.

excellent - helpful & a "must read" for parents
Revisado: 04-25-22
narration is not numbingly boring.
content is interesting.
I appreciate how each chapter has recommended actions for the adult to take to best support children.
I would recommend this book for any parent interested enough to listen.
I listened while it was free, but will pay to purchase in otder to have access on demand.

While the world seems to be in love with the idea of tiny houses and minimalism, many of us simply can't purge it all and start from nothing. Yet a home with too much stuff is difficult to maintain, so where do we begin? Add in paralyzing emotional attachments and constant life challenges, and it can feel almost impossible to make real decluttering progress.

such a relief to hear my thoughts said aloud
Revisado: 04-11-22
After reading the reviews for her other books, I picked this one first.
Good, engaging narration.
Funny to hear the stories, relatable. If you've been on a less stuff mission for a while, you've probably already made SOME of the realizations she talks about - it's still worth listening to.
I shared with 3 people in less than 24hrs after listening.
It's one of a few audio books I listen to in the background while decluttering or organizing.
Good enough that I'll buy the home management book next. I think the decluttering one is a good start.
