Historia
Admiral Jack Romanoff and his ragtag crew had paid in blood for breathing room to repair their ship and resupply. With that done, they could track down the Poseidon Group conspirators and kick the Locusts out of the cluster. Their fortunes seemed to be on the rise.

Fun, snappy, and intriguing levels of development
Revisado: 01-07-25
They say the best way to answer questions in a story sometimes is to raise more with your answer. This entry in the series is an enjoyable dive into the universe of The Last Hunter, and it's fun to see how far the characters have come.

Historia
When the Fafnir responds to a desperate distress call, their act of kindness is turned against them, making Van the most wanted man in the known universe. Targeted by a vicious, charismatic politician and his shadowy partner, Van and his friends are faced with a decision that carries long term consequences—deliver justice...or run and hide. The choice is easy. The Fafnir will attack, and criminals will pay regardless of the bounty chasing them across the stars.

Another delightfully light hearted romp through the galaxy. Love where is going, but oh, the cliff hanger!

Historia
The Bobiverse is a different place in the aftermath of the Starfleet War, and the days of the Bobs gathering in one big happy moot are far behind. There’s anti-Bob sentiment on multiple planets, the Skippies playing with an AI time bomb, and multiple Bobs just wanting to get away from it all. But it all pales compared to what Icarus and Daedalus discover on their 26,000-year journey to the center of the galaxy.

Another great romp through the Bobiverse
Revisado: 10-01-24
This was a fun narrative to follow. The imagery of the 'Dragons' interactions was enjoyable, and listening to the Bobs working through the various problems was both logical and funny. The callbacks to some of the previous novels made me grin, too. Looking forward to another!

Historia
Set in 1991, just as Star Trek: The Next Generation has rocketed the cast to global fame, the young and impressionable actor Brent Spiner receives a mysterious package and a series of disturbing letters, that take him on a terrifying and bizarre journey that enlists Paramount Security, the LAPD, and even the FBI in putting a stop to the danger that has his life and career hanging in the balance.

As a longtime fan of the series, it was a real treat to hear Brent and much of his fellow cast members bring this to life
Revisado: 04-29-24
A fun story overall. It had me laughing out loud, listening to his humor and mild self deprecation (while holding many others in such high regard). Strangely, it also seemed deeply introspective at times, giving us a glimpse at the often not-so-glamorous life of stardom. Here's hoping there's more in the future (particularly if he reads it!)

As with much of John's work, I would love to see more out of the universe he built here. Decidedly lighthearted as the title suggests, and it made me laugh.

Historia
Thousands of years ago, Earth's terraforming program took to the stars. On the world they called Nod, scientists discovered alien life - but it was their mission to overwrite it with the memory of Earth. Then humanity's great empire fell, and the program's decisions were lost to time. Aeons later, humanity and its new spider allies detected fragmentary radio signals between the stars. They dispatched an exploration vessel, hoping to find cousins from old Earth. But those ancient terraformers woke something on Nod better left undisturbed. And it's been waiting for them.

Much better than the first
Revisado: 04-22-22
The first novel was indeed interesting, but the characters were difficult to follow and relate to. The sequel here did a much better job among the time jumps, and really built an interesting cast. The ending was admittedly a bit predictable, but it was still a fun ride.
