Mr. Stephen Fry’s BEST Reading out of all 7 Harry Potter Books
Revisado: 07-20-24
Stephen Fry’s performance as the narrator in the Deathly Hallows, the seventh and final book in J. K. Rowling’s beloved Harry Potter Books, was his best. This Book 7 of the 7 Harry Potter Books was Mr. Fry’s LAST CHANCE, and his performance was truly outstanding. The emotional expression, his conveyance of the the character and plot development, were SO MUCH BETTER than Mr. Fry delivered in his readings of books 1-4.

Another Excellent Book in the Harry Potter Series
Revisado: 07-11-24
The Book 5 in the Harry Potter Series, the Order of the Phoenix, it’s one of the best of the series, with complex, interwoven, plots, and amazing character development. However, Stephen Fry fails to capitalize on these these by simply reading the book instead of narrating and performing the book. Mr Fry never sings any of the songs, whether from the Sorting Hat, the Slitherings’ “Weasley is Our King,” or any of the other songs in the series.

Just Better and BETTER!
Revisado: 05-31-24
J.K. Rowling has done it again in this, her third book of the Harry Potter series, The Prisoner of Azkaban. I prefer the narration by Jim Dale, whose voices of all the characters, male or female, are different and reflect exactly who the character is. What I mean by that is that his narration seems to develop the emotions, the character, the relationships between characters, the conflicts, and the heroes, much better than the narrator of this audiobook. But Stephen Fry, the narrator who read for this review of the prisoner of Azkaban, did a better job than he did in his reading of the first two books of the Harry Potter series and to which I have listened already. Mr. Fry seems to have put more effort and varying the voices, but again, lack the ability to put sufficient differences in the voices to distinguish the characters. The situational irony, the character conflicts, the complex tapestry of this story, makes the entire Harry Potter series such a joy to listen, no matter who narrates it.

JK Rowling is a Wizard of Writers!
Revisado: 05-29-24
Again, I have listened to the audiobooks of the entire Harry Potter series for many years now. I am in the United States and therefore have listened to Jim Dale’s readings, And he, too, is a Wizard of a Story Teller. This particular reading of The Chamber of Secrets, Book 2 in the Harry Potter series, was read by Steven Fry. I enjoy reading any given particular classic novel and listening to different narrators present the material in their own renditions. I especially wanted to listen to this version read by Stephen Fry because it is delivered with a British audience in mind; thus, the expressions are uniquely British. However, the trade-off, is that Stephen Fry is not the talented narrator that Jim Dale is. Mr. Fry does not have the ability to develop the different characters with different voices, and pretty much all of the emotional composites of the different characters, have the same, shrill expressions instead of varying, emotive expressions. This distracts greatly from the performance of the narration. But the excellent storyline, the complex plots and characters are well developed in the very talented writing, which compensates greatly for the less stellar performance. I shall now move onto to book 3, The Prisoner of Azkaban, with exciting anticipation.

A less talented reader
Revisado: 05-26-24
This audiobook, The Philosopher’s Stone, the first book of the Harry Potter series, is outstanding, as all the Harry Potter books are! However, Stephen Fry does not have the talent or the breadth of expression, for the outstanding delivery that the audiobooks read by Jim Dale have. Mr. Fry does not even sing the Sorting Hat’s Song, which was a great disappointment. I will predict that Mr. Fry also does not sing the song “Weasley is Our King,” in Book 5, The Order of the Phoenix. I was interested in having and listening to all of the Harry Potter books, read by Stephen Fry, to see how another reader might present these excellent storylines. I often purchase multiple copies of a particular audionovel, but read by different narrators, to see how the various plots and conflicts are developed by different readers. I purchased and intend to listen to the first six books of the Harry Potter series, narrated by Stephen Fry, but I of course, already have all seven books narrated by the extremely talented and so excellent storyteller, Jim Dale.

The Greatest Generation
Revisado: 03-01-23
It is no wonder that the Great War and the World War 2 Generations were known as the Greatest Generations— these great men exemplified loyalty, patriotism, honor, unimaginable bravery and strength of both body and character. In today world of madness, where young people are confused and proud of it, where no expectations or instruction or corrections can be made without precipitating a tantrum— this story reflects first hand how those brave generations grew to be so strong, good, and true.

Historia
Trust. Betrayal. Revenge. The Count of Monte Cristo is the quintessential masterpiece of Alexandre Dumas. In Edmond Dantes we find an early materialization of the modern superhero. He is a dashing young sailor imprisoned unjustly for treason. While in prison he meets a holy man who imparts to him all his wisdom. The "abbe" also divulges the profound secret of a hidden treasure. Dantes realizes that with such immense wealth, one could wreak a hateful vengeance on one's enemies.

Reader BJ Harrison’s performance— THE Best
Revisado: 07-12-21
I have listened to actually two different readers, two audiobooks of the Count of Monte Cristo, and by far, BJ Harrison’s reading is the best. Mr. Harrison imbues the reading with such emotion, that the Audiobook more closely approaches the delight of reading a good book the regular way. This awesome classic weaves together a complex tapestry of life, with plot twists, intrigues, and a masterful presentation of the characters of man and ironies of life. Truly Mr. Harrison deserves a medal and a bonus for this splendid performance.

Excellent material, and NO ONE could have conveyed the message but the Judge
Revisado: 10-12-18
Excellent material, and NO ONE could have conveyed the message but Judge Pirro herself, the author. She has compiled a beautiful, objective picture of the man, President Donald J. Trump, and of our great nation, The United States of America. In conveying this biographical nutshell, and then carefully and truthfully compiling the objective picture of the Deep State, including The Clinton Foundation and the Clinton representation of the Deep State, she sharpens understanding of our imperatives: To meet our responsibilities to our Nation and to our President, by continuing, as citizens and respectable people, to do what is right and good, that is, to NOT riot, threaten, destroy, and pillage, as our opponents do when they do not get their own way; to work diligently towards the ongoing healing and repair of our Nation. Perhaps the most important task at hand is to make sure we all get out and vote by November 6th! All of our work will be undone if the insane left win control of the Senate, the House, or even the State Governorships. Judge Pirro has written an excellent book, that will be great even afterPresident Trump completes his terms of service. G-d Bless Jeanine Pirro, G-d Bless President Donald Trump and his families, and G-d, PLEASE, Bless America!!!
