As a Christian practicing buddist meditation for 40 years I can tell you Ravi Zacharias sadly missed understand what the Buddha taught. The buddha would have followed Jesus as Buddhism in its most honest form is meditation practice and philosophy.....not a Religion

I wish this book was mandatory reading for every high school and college student in the United States. It's amazing to think what was given by soldiers (many in their teens) in WWII for our freedoms ..that are so frequently unappreciated in modern times.

Well Done!!

Lee Smolin's Best Book

Smolin has done an extraordinary job of challenging some physicists obsession in telling the public stories of "quantum weirdness " rather than doing the hard work of trying to move forward with our understanding of the universe.

Smolin' does a very nice job in explaining to the non-physicist the pilot wave theory as championed by David Bohm. This is one of the very few books written for non-physicists that has explained the pro and cons of the pilot wave theory.

While not for the neophyte to this type of science literature, you will find the book well written with good metaphors for understanding the foundations of physics.

Where does Now rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

1st… I rarely write reviews, and when I do, it's when I find its a book that has an author that has a very high IQ and is without a massive ego to go along with it. I was very pleased with the scientific content of Richard's book as well as how the story is laid out. For those of you, that enjoy Marcelo Gleiser's books; you'll most likely find The Physics of Time an enjoyable read. I would place this book in the top 3% of the hundreds of science-based audiobooks I've listened to in the last ten years.

What did you like best about this story?

While no physicist can fully tell their "story of time" without using advanced calculus, Richard Muller does an excellent job of simplifying the physics without " talking down" to the reader. He also provides his career experience regarding who he has worked with (such as Saul Perlmutter Nobel Prize winner 2011) which helps to make the story more interesting and personal. While the author is fully aware of the "strangeness of quantum mechanics" he eloquently tells the story of time without "falling into the rabbit hole" of absurdity. The author also does an excellent job in carefully helping the reader to understand what an incredible gift science is, but he also helps the reader to understand that science has its limits.I must say this is a refreshing perspective from the many other scientific authors that speak about the scientific method with "evangelical zeal."

Have you listened to any of Christopher Grove’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Christopher Grove did a great job narrating this book. A great voice and does a very good job in pronouncing some of the technical terms correctly

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes… Very engaging and very well narrated

Would you consider the audio edition of Mysteries of Modern Physics: Time to be better than the print version?

Mysteries of Modern PhysicsI've always enjoyed Sean Carroll's talks on physics. He does an outstanding job of successfully explaining to the non-physicist what the current state of science is and how time is modeled in the physics community. While I have a much different perception of time than the author, Sean does an outstanding job of explaining time from the perspective of the current understanding of the physics community.

Einstein's Intuition: Highly Innovative and Superb

If you could sum up Einstein's Intuition: Visualizing Nature in Eleven Dimensions in three words, what would they be?

Thad Roberts has done an impeccable job of challenging the present "canon" of physics to hopefully inspire a younger generation of physicists to think intuitively about science and mathematics. I have read well over 200 books on physics and this book is the most original and thought-provoking.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The most thought-provoking section of the book is in its attempt to guide the non-physicist on the value associated with rethinking physics from the standpoint of the quantum void. It's always been surprising to me of how little of the focus has been in physics on the quantum void or quantum vacuum. One hopes that the research at CERN will help in elucidating the interplay between the quantum vacuum and the standard model.
