Lansing describes how the men survived a 1,000-mile voyage in an open boat across the stormiest ocean on the globe and an overland trek through forbidding glaciers and mountains.

THE BEST audiobook I have ever heard

I have listened to over 100 audiobooks on Audible, and this is the best, by far. If you know little about the Shackleton Expedition, wait until after listening to this before you lookup more. The events themselves are incredible. The storytelling by Alfred Lansing is gripping. It makes you feel like you are there, experiencing the expedition yourself. Simon Prebble's narration is perfect. I had to listen to it twice in a row because it was that good. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys accounts of history and exploration.

If you are looking for a comprehensive summary of Different Real Estate Investment strategies - like I was - stop here. This book covers nearly everything and offers a lot of detail to get started. But it's not so much that each chapter becomes tedious. Great balance. It is also fairly up-to-date with sections explaining the potential effects of driverless cars and drone delivery vehicles on your investments.

This book series provides some good information, but it was very difficult to listen to. The narration is distracting. The narrator speaks in monotone and sounds very robotic.

Extremely Basic, Short, and Repetitive

For such a short book it sure does repeat itself a lot. There are less than 15 minutes of actual content in this 1 hour audio book, at best.
It also gives almost no new information and contradicts itself constantly. The author keeps saying to "do your due diligence" but explains very little about what that entails.
He also says several times that risks in tax lien investing are "practically nonexistent". But there's a whole chapter about the many ways you can lose your entire investment. The tone of the book shifts like this several times from "This is the best investment ever. There are no risks." to "Look at all these risks. You will lose everything." and back. It's like it was written by two people.
Overall, a big waste of time. There's far better information freely available to anyone who can do a basic Internet search.
