Historia
Bennett Jacobs is okay with being square. With a loving spouse for company, the introverted software engineer doesn’t want or need to turn strangers into friends. But after the wife drags him kicking and screaming to a pool party, he reveals his computer smarts to a flamboyant artist dealing a popular street drug, and his life goes from blasé to bonkers.

Historia
Jack Diller is just one more struggling actor on the road to nowhere. He’s got an agent who barely remembers his name, his ex-girlfriend has hooked up with a Silicon Valley dude, and the milk in his fridge is so far past its sell-by date it’s historic. The only way Jack can scrape together a bare existence is by delivering food to exactly the types of successful people he wishes he could be. Then, one day, a very strange audiobook shows up on his phone.

this book had such great potential.
Revisado: 11-22-22
I like Will Wheaton as a narrator so much that I download any book that he narrates, and this is the first that has left me feeling meh.
The story was great until it wasn't.
My only problem with this book is the ending.....
spoiler alert
I kept wanting this to end up better than it did. That's the hopeless romantic in me. and truthfully after he killed homeboy, I kind of hoped he would have died. but I didn't want him to kill the dude in the first place!
this is the shittiest review I've ever left. also it's after a 14-hour work day and two white claws. So there you are.
That's my f****** review

Historia
Lazarus Cain is a member of the Grim Shadows, one of the Thieves Guilds in the city of Eberia. Unfortunately, Lazarus is having a bad day. Waking up in a torture chamber, suffering from amnesia, he'd be pretty much screwed if not for the mysterious, magical sigil burned into his chest. Sometimes a really bad day should be shared with others, especially professional torturers.

engaging story, all the f-bombs we're unnecessary.
Revisado: 02-03-20
The story is fun, The characters are well developed.
a little spicy language every now and then can be ignored but the author loves the f-bomb. I've been known to use it a time or two in my life everyday. but if it were not for the language I feel like this could be read by many different age groups. as it is it is clearly an adult story where I feel like I'm dropping the f-bomb felt forced and unnecessary to developing the characters and story.

Historia
With dark humor, Chris L. Terry's Black Card is an uncompromising examination of American identity. In an effort to be "black enough", a mixed-race punk rock musician indulges his own stereotypical views of African American life by doing what his white bandmates call "black stuff". After remaining silent during a racist incident, the unnamed narrator has his Black Card revoked by Lucius, his guide through Richmond, Virginia, where Confederate flags and memorials are a part of everyday life.
