Historia
The Moon will soon return. Whether this heralds the destruction of humankind or something worse will depend on two women. Essun has inherited the phenomenal power of Alabaster Tenring. With it, she hopes to find her daughter, Nassun, and forge a world in which every outcast child can grow up safe. For Nassun, her mother's mastery of the Obelisk Gate comes too late. She has seen the evil of the world and accepted what her mother won't: that sometimes what is corrupt cannot be cleansed, only destroyed.

A great series
Revisado: 08-30-20
I found this series almost by chance, while looking for a book to listen to on a long business trip. And what a find it was! A very innovative setting, characters I immediately feel in love with, and am innovative choice of second person narrator. Highly recommended!

Historia
As a cassandra sangue, or blood prophet, Meg Corbyn can see the future when her skin is cut - a gift that feels more like a curse. Meg's Controller keeps her enslaved so he can have full access to her visions. But when she escapes, the only safe place Meg can hide is at the Lakeside Courtyard - a business district operated by the Others. Shape-shifter Simon Wolfgard is reluctant to hire the stranger who inquires about the Human Liaison job.

Entertaining
Revisado: 02-17-16
The book flows well and it was a good morning listen on the way to work. This story is catchy, although some of the characters may will have been further explored-but I suppose this will happen in the next book of the series. The action is good, although the main villain is more vain and lightheaded than really devious. The main characters ate also likeable - really wanted to listen ok in the story, but their reactions seem stereotypical and at times justified but sorry or circumstances. This said, some moments in the story are really gripping or endearing. All in all a good read, if you are looking for some entertainment during your commute.
