Excellent explanations!!
Revisado: 01-19-25
Although I've been betting on horses for years, it was usually during the Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup. I now have a new found love for the sport. The enormity of the care that goes into the horses, jockeys, stable workers, broadcasters, wagering outlets, and prep work for each race Is astounding. What makes horse racing unique is this is done year round at various tracks unlike other sports that are only seasonal. I have not been to the Fair Grounds in 40 years and finally I took my son and we had a great time. Many people were there with family members. Horse racing is great to share with family and friends. This book gave me the knowledge to continue my love for horse racing.

Another Great Novel
Revisado: 10-05-24
I don't know how he does it as the years go by, but he gets better and better at writing books. If you're in your 60s or older and from the south, you can connect with this entirely. This was done very tastefully for such a hideous time in our country 's life.

I just couldn't get into this book. I read many of Dean Koontz's books but this one doesn't seem to measure up. I'll try again in a couple of months just so I can give it a fair shake.

Scary, Creepy, & A Bit Blasse
Revisado: 06-13-23
Overall it was a good book. The few quirks I had with it was that they used the women's voice to be a man's voice. Is it difficult to find a man to read audio books? The whole story revolved around living in a smart home. I certainly wouldn't have one if it were free; and I mean it. I was just hoping for a bigger ending of the smart home than the one that was given.

Frightening Experiment, Revenge, Hate, & Love
Revisado: 03-05-23
My skin crawled throughout the whole book. I was surprisingly happy to see the plot go a different direction than what I thought was going to happen. This is one of Dean Koontz's best books that I've read. ...I never want to hear the name Rachel spoken out loud again!!! That voice has creeped me out!!!

Historia
The most common triggers for homicide are fear, rage, revenge, money, lust, and, more rarely, sheer madness. This isn’t an exact science, of course. Any given murder can have multiple triggers. Sex and revenge seem to be common partners in crime. This book offers my memories of homicide cases that I investigated or oversaw. In each case, I examine the trigger that led to death. I chose this theme for the book because even though the why of a murder case may not be critical in an investigation, it can sometimes lead us to the killer.

Along the way, Archer stops in Reno, where a stroke of fortune delivers him a wad of cash and an eye-popping blood-red 1939 Delahaye convertible - plus a companion for the final leg of the journey, an aspiring actress named Liberty Callahan who is planning to try her luck in Hollywood.

Exquisite
Revisado: 11-08-22
I truly felt I was in the 40s listening to this book. The details of the clothes, cars, politics, history, patriotism, and even the smoking of cigarettes, (almost gave me cancer via technology ), was enthralling. I love all of David Baldacci's books, but his one stood out in a most captivating way. A must read/audio for all David Baldacci fans.
