Historia
Somewhere out beyond the edge of the universe there is a library that contains an infinite number of books, each one the story of another reality. One tells the story of your life as it is, along with another book for the other life you could have lived if you had made a different choice at any point in your life. While we all wonder how our lives might have been, what if you had the chance to go to the library and see for yourself? Would any of these other lives truly be better? In The Midnight Library, Nora Seed finds herself faced with this decision.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

Eye opener

Malcolm Gladwell takes a deep dive into understanding how much we do not understand taking to strangers. Interesting read with great examples of bad assumptions and bad policy. Well done.

Historia
There may be no tidy solutions or pithy answers to life’s big challenges, but Michelle Obama believes that we can all locate and lean on a set of tools to help us better navigate change and remain steady within flux. In The Light We Carry, she opens a frank and honest dialogue with listeners, considering the questions many of us wrestle with: How do we build enduring and honest relationships? How can we discover strength and community inside our differences? What tools do we use to address feelings of self-doubt or helplessness? What do we do when it all starts to feel like too much?

A tool box of much needed items
Revisado: 11-12-23
Sometimes we forget some of the tools life has given us to stay strong, focused and kind. This book refreshes and adds to my own tool box, and for that I will be forever grateful. Thank you First Lady for sharing some chapters of your life in this beautifully written book. Much respect 🌹

Beautifully written book
Revisado: 03-11-20
This book is written in a way that you find yourself experiencing and understanding a way of life you previously knew nothing about. Beautifully written story. We never know the challenges that others are navigating, we think we do sometimes but we don’t and that’s ok but books like this help us to have a deeper understanding. Someone recommended this book to me and I’m so glad they. It’s good to grow. I look forward to more story’s by Benjamin W. Bass
