Historia
Dorian Hawke's daily routine was pretty straightforward. Wake up, pull his weight around the village, eat potatoes, go to bed. Not too shabby. Not very interesting, maybe, but it was honest work. Then a boat falls like a meteor from the sky. Next thing he knows, a gorgeous elf and stunning faun tell him that magical blood runs through his veins, and they need him to navigate their ship through space.

Haremlit Spelljammer
Revisado: 04-29-25
Amazing book! The characters are all unique, the romance is believable, combat isn't drawn out, it has all the fantasy races in space, in a high fantasy setting (very similar to Spelljammer), and the story progresses at a good pace. The MC starts out believably naive, but not weak or annoying... He gradually gains power. Just a really enjoyable book and I hope there's more in this setting!

Historia
Sorry... Really? Thrust? Anyway, Danny Kendrick was a down-on-his luck performer who always struggled to find his place. He certainly never wanted to be a hero. He just hoped to earn a living doing what he loved. That all changes when he pisses off the wrong guy and gets sucked into a fantasy realm straight out of a Renaissance Fair. Getting used to a new world is tough. It's even tougher when you're surrounded by axe-wielding barbarians, super hot elf assassins, strange magic, and a jaded System that doesn't appear interested in being charged with yet another companion.

Horrible MC
Revisado: 11-24-24
The MC is insanely dense, cowerdly, and just stupid. He has the thickest plot armor ever in a book. But he's sooooo obnoxiously retarded...... No other Isekai MC has ever been this stupid. Period. Ad another period.

Historia
Cyril woke up in a hospital bed with a ruined body and no memory of how it happened. His only chance at a normal life was agreeing to a splicer's experiment with a twisted condition: he was forbidden to learn the circumstances surrounding his injuries. Rose saved a life and wound up exiled from her gang, friendless and broke in Oolytau. Given an out by a notorious mob boss, she found herself in the Tracts working with a man who might be everything she never knew she needed.

Best kind of monster girl book
Revisado: 12-29-23
I'm not a "size fetish" person. This book hits that. But it also has amazing world building and characters. All people in this world form their relationships quickly... I don't be grudge that because I don't want to listen to a 30 hour, boring story. This is more of a hunted/cat and mouse story... But still amazing. No matter the fetish, it's still at heart, a romance. People fighting for love. I love that.

Historia
Extreme sub-zero temperatures suffocate the surface. Frozen structures of bygone eras span across massive ice-wastes. And the survivors closely guard any technology rediscovered within them. The only escape from the deadly climate is beneath the surface, but that doesn't mean it's safe... Monstrous machines lurk in the depths. Unhinged demigods war against them, dying over and over, treating it all like a game. The depths themselves shift over time, more contraption than rock.

Cool world, depressing
Revisado: 09-21-23
I loved the world, the ideas. However, the MC is incredibly weak, the plot just happens to him. And the entire story is just depressing. I honestly no longer wanted it to continue by the end because of how depressing it was. The entire book was basically endless battles where the MC lucks out and lives because of someone else. Over and over and over. He's supposed to be smart, but he turns into mush every single battle. His intelligence serves to confirm that only battle experience matters, but not enough to help anything or anyone, except to prolong the agony of the story.

Historia
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Amazing plot, horrible story
Revisado: 10-12-22
I've read 6 of these books now. The world and possibilities are amazing. But the author? I think she wants to just emotionally hurt you, the reader. Slowly. Methodically. The story has great plot, interesting characters. But they all take insanely longer to progress, and most of them progress negatively. The whole story, every bit, becomes depressing. I don't know how a person can write a 200 hour+ story this sad, but I can't listen/read any longer. The world is not worth feeling like shiit.

Historia
Armageddon Day. That is how history will remember the date when two Overlords clashed amidst the war-torn streets of New Whitehall. The disastrous duel its explosive conclusion wreaked heavy casualties on the two armies present, rendering both the Ishigar Republic and the Lodrak Empire unable to continue to fight. And yet, it was no stalemate. With one Hero defeated and another revealed, the balance of power is sure to shift in the elvish nation’s favor.

Filler
Revisado: 10-02-21
This book is essentially back story and filler. Nothing real actually happens. Literally, just POV from Boxxy's minions explaining how they love it. If you ever read the Dresden Files, this is "Ghost Story". Zero plot, zero story movement. I recommend skipping it until the next book, assuming the author remembers how to write a narrative.

Great new series, same Card Mage world
Revisado: 06-18-21
Just for the record, I got a copy of this audio book for free. Don't normally review books regardless. Any way, as a fan of Eden Redd, I really enjoyed this book. It's mysterious enough to be stand-alone and intriguing enough to force all Card Mage readers to take notice lol It weirdly reminds me of Radley's Home for Horny Monsters, and Darkest Dungeon (the game). Anyway, I really enjoyed the book and hope I can purchase 3-four more before the end. Real people need real world happiness or there's no point. Keep up the world =)
