Historia
Judge Scott Sampson doesn’t brag about having a perfect life, but the evidence is clear: A prestigious job. A loving marriage. A pair of healthy children. Then a phone call begins every parent’s most chilling nightmare. Scott’s six-year-old twins, Sam and Emma, have been taken. The judge must rule exactly as instructed in a drug case he is about to hear. If he refuses, the consequences for the children will be dire.

Narration needed to be better
Revisado: 04-06-24
This audiobook is like 3 to 4 hours too long but the problem I had is with the narration. No emotion and no urgency that befitted the characters and story line, it just didn't fit together. I rarely get a book that I truly don't like, this unfortunately was one of them

Historia
FBI Agent Pendergast has taken Constance on a whirlwind Grand Tour. They head to Tibet, where Pendergast intensively trained in martial arts and spiritual studies. At a remote monastery, they learn that a rare and dangerous artifact the monks have been guarding for generations has been stolen. Pendergast agrees to take up the search. The trail leads him and Constance to the maiden voyage of the Queen Victoria passenger liner - and to an Atlantic crossing fraught with terror.

Narration very disappointing
Revisado: 08-30-22
I want a narrator to TELL me a story not just READ it to me. That's where Mr Auberjonois get's this wrong. There was no inflection, no true seperation between characters, no "I can't put this book down" feeling. Maybe he gets better with the next stories in this series but I will never find out. Scott Brick is Pendergast, Mr Auberjonois is not

Historia
Time is a very fluid thing, no one really has a grasp on it other than maybe how to measure it. As the maestro of the Day by Day Armageddon Universe, I have the latitude of being in control of that time. I can adjust the slider either direction, moving the timeline back and forth along the continuum. This is one of the perks of creation, the benefit in constructing something (albeit small) from nothing. Sort of makes you wonder what the maestro of the universe is up to, no? You have again stumbled upon a ticket with service through the apocalyptic wastes, but this time the train is a little bit older, a little more beat up, and maybe a little wiser. Keep your doors locked.

Just do it
Revisado: 09-20-21
Don't be thrown off by the negative reviews... even though this is only a 40min $5 listen it sums together the series. You'd be silly to miss it as the ending isn't what's expected

Historia
Miss Marple meets Oscar Wilde in this new series of cosy mysteries set in the picturesque Cotswolds village of Bunburry. Here, fudge-making and quaffing real ale in the local pub are matched by an undercurrent of passion, jealousy, hatred and murder - laced with a welcome dose of humour. This compilation contains episodes 4 - 6.

Just not for me
Revisado: 04-16-21
I really liked the first 3 but in this 4th story Sargent Wilson really got on my nerves, probably a mix of the performer and the writer. Sorry to say it's turned me off on all the others. Too sad

Historia
Who is THE NOWHERE MAN? He is spoken about only in whispers. He comes to those in greatest need of his protection. There is no enemy he cannot fight. He lives by his own code. He takes no prisoners. His name is Evan Smoak. Taken from a group home when he was young, Evan was raised and trained as an Orphan, an off-the-books black box program designed to create the perfect deniable intelligence asset: An assassin.

Why the bad reviews??
Revisado: 03-25-21
I'm so glad I didn't let the bad reviews deter me from listening to this second installment of Evan Smoak. Evan is even more badass in this story than the first. Thank you Hurwitz for creating a character I can root for and kudos to Scott Brick for making it so real. I will definitely continue following Evan's search for truth and justice

In this compulsively listenable tale of secrets, lies, and deception, Gilly Macmillan explores the darkest impulses and desires of the human heart. Diabolically clever, The Nanny reminds us that sometimes the truth hurts so much you’d rather hear the lie.

Didn't see it coming
Revisado: 06-20-20
One reviewer said that they knew the ending from the beginning but I fortunately did not. I'm glad I didn't know and I'm very satisfied with the ending, it was the only way for it to end

Hugh Fraser is a master
Revisado: 03-06-20
I felt discombobulated with all the different characters but Mr Fraser made it a bit easier to follow with his voice overs. I followed the story well enough during the 'easier listening' parts that I was able to understand the 'not-so-easy listening' parts by piecing them into the plot when needed. My advice to potential listeners: take the leap and be patient. Christie still remains my go to in Audible
