Historia
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Very good! Eye opening!
Revisado: 10-26-23
Very good book. I listened to “It Starts with Us” first. It’s eye opening that we really see the difficulty in why women don’t leave abusive situations. It doesn’t mean they are weak. We always hope for change with the ones we love.

Historia
Married 20 years to Thomas and living in Nashville with their two children, Maggie is drawn ineluctably into a passionate affair while still fiercely committed to her husband and family. What begins as a platonic intellectual and spiritual exchange between writer Maggie and poet James, gradually transforms into an emotional and erotically-charged bond that challenges Maggie's sense of loyalty and morality, drawing her deeper into the darkness of desire.

I was lost and confused in much of this book. The ending was nice. The writing approach is interesting. It jumps around. Hard to follow. Sorry but I didn’t like it.

"Unvarnished. Funny. Leaving no stone unturned"...So say the publishers about this audiobook I've written. What I say is that this is the story of my life, told as clear as a Texas sky and in the same rhythm that I lived it. It's a story of restlessness and the purity of the moment and living right. Of my childhood in Abbott, Texas, to the Pacific Northwest, from Nashville to Hawaii, and all the way back again. Of selling vacuum cleaners and encyclopedias while hosting radio shows and writing song after song, hoping to strike gold.

This insight helps me to love & understand my husband
Revisado: 04-23-21
Throughout the years of wondering why my husband of 40 plus years is so indifferent to my emotional and physical needs, I’ve researched that my husband may have aspergers, be a covert narcissist, just not care about me and/or doesn’t love me enough to share or care. This book really gave me a different insight and fills in the missing pieces. I listened to all 19 hours in just a few days and I’ve ordered the workbook. Very helpful!
