Amazing adaption with one problem.
Revisado: 12-14-22
These adaptions of the Sherlock Holmes stories are my second favorite of all time (the first being the Granada BBC adaption with Jeremy Brett). I'd highly recommend the entire series to any Sherlock Holmes fan. However, I can't give it the 5 stars it deserves because of the complete lack of labels and story titles. The stories are split up into hundreds of small segments, which makes it impossible to browse and find the beginning of the stories. I resorted to going through and bookmarking the stories so I could jump to the one I wanted to listen to. If this issue was ever fixed, I'd be happy to change my review to 5 stars.

Amazing
Revisado: 10-13-17
I've read a handful of Star Was books over the years, and this book is by far my favorite. Thrawn is a fascinating character and I enjoyed Eli Vanto as well. Normally I get annoyed with the secondary characters in Star Was books, but I liked Pryce's storyline, even if she didn't get on my nerves near the end. The narration is fantastic. It really drew me into the story. Marc Thompson is an amazing narrator and I'm looking forward to listening to more audiobooks from him.

Historia
In a warren of crumbling buildings and desperate people called the Old City, there stands a hospital with cinderblock walls that echo the screams of the poor souls inside. In the hospital, there is a woman. Her hair, once blond, hangs in tangles down her back. She doesn't remember why she's in such a terrible place. Just a tea party long ago, and long ears, and blood.

Lackluster
Revisado: 09-25-17
I'm happy I bought this audiobook while it was on sale, otherwise I would've been extremely disappointed about spending my money on it.
The general idea of this story was pretty interesting, but the pace and the story ended up being a mess. Most of the story is just the two main characters walking around and talking to people. Alice even admits to this at one point in the story.
I was expecting much more from the ending since so much time is wasted throughout the story building up to the final encounter with the enemy, but the story just kind of whizzes out and ends.
I was annoyed with how the author felt like she needed to explain every little thing. There was zero subtlety in this book, and nothing is left for the reader to figure out on their own. Instead, the author treats the readers like they're children that need to have every little thing explained to them.
I didn't find the story dark and disturbing at all. But that could be because I've read some pretty screwed up things. There are mentions of some dark things that happen, but we as the readers never get any clearcut scenes of these atrocities happening. We just get flashbacks with very little detail and rumors.
Overall, this isn't the best retelling of Alice's Adventure in Wonderland. It's not event the most disturbing. I'd look somewhere else If you want something disturbing and dark.
