Historia
Greg and Julian need to make a choice—die in the tornado that’s sucked them up in their van, or agree to hunt monsters in a world full of magic and levels and, oh yeah…monsters. The two frat bros may be master ghost hunters to their podcast listeners, but they never expected their antics to be taken seriously by a goddess in another dimension. And since when are ghosts the same as monsters? Awkward. But when the other option is certain death, it seems like it’s worth giving it the old college try.

The ending is so bad I won't be continuing the ser

Think "cheap, cliche writing dodge".
Do you like ANY of the characters? Don't buy the book.
SPOILERS AHEAD
SPOILERS AHEAD
Thankfully there wasn't a Dog involved. What the writer has done is literally referred to as " killing the dog" a cheap easy way to build Pathos.
SPOILERS
He kills every character at the very end to setup a cheap meaningless revenge plot. There is no real reason and almost no buildup. It must have taken all the skill of a middle schooler to come up with this drek.
Also 3/4 of the way thru the main character has a huge amount of money. The writer decides he doesn't have enough angst so he just mugs him in a pointless little scene. All gains lost to no improvement of the plot.
Its too bad, it was a good book otherwise. its almost like someone else took over writing in a couple of places.
Its more Sad than anything else really.

Historia
So, remember that whole 'send Montana to the capital—he's ready for prime time' plan? Yeah. That might've been a little bit hasty. Our hirsute hero really stepped in it. Like, is on the verge of losing his dukedom and everything he's worked for stepped in it. The only way out? A little-known technicality that stops Senate proceedings and sends Montana off on what's most likely an insurmountable quest. One where odds are good that he'll either die without a respawn or accidentally commit treason against the Empire.

Historia
In Jim’s absence, Zorlando has been doing a pretty good job keeping Windfall safe. He doesn’t know - and may not be equipped for - what is heading straight toward Noobtown, though. Will Jim beat the Pirates while he is on Glorious Roberts’ ship? Will he make it back to his beloved city before Maggie, the assassin, gets there? Why are there pirates attempting to sack Windfall? Most importantly, will Shart ever be the opposite of inside out again?

Awesome as always.
Revisado: 04-22-22
We need more Noob! This one took longer than the 6 months between the others. I'm going to have to assume Ryan nodded off to sleep at some point.
Stop that! Sleep is for the weak! More books! Mush! Yah! Move 'em out! Giddy up er ... writer dude? I kinda lost track of what I was doing there. Still more books needed.
May I suggest gnomes? Nice, violently vicious, puntable gnomes? Don't let the cuteness fool you, those Lawn Ornaments are up to something monstrous. Evil even. Well, ok, mildly evil. Not like the capital E, pure concentrated stuff. Too expensive to use that on gnomes. Gotta think of the budget.
Yep, I've gone completely off point in my own review. Still more books! More! More!

Historia
Infinite Worlds is the most popular VRMMORPG on the market. Its maps are so vast, developer Hard Rock Data utilizes a network of highly advanced artificial intelligences to control it. But it’s not without problems. That’s why Game Masters like Jeff Driscoll have jobs. The downside? He’s not allowed to play the game. Something about conflicts of interest and favoritism. His very boring and tedious job is to help players deal with the occasional bug that slips through the cracks and ensure they enjoy their time playing enough to give a five-star rating.

Good LITRPG
Revisado: 05-08-21
Nor the best, but since neither Author was Russian or Aleron Kong I'm calling it a Push.
Think about it, if you are about to submerge yourself into a character who would you want to be: the everyday average guy/gal? Or the insanely lucky bastard who rocks a world to its knees?
Me?! I'd be the safe average guy. But I'd dream I was the ultra badass, whose success made themselves miserable. But I'd blow past the Suck parts. And really love the free XP!!!

Historia
Erik knew one thing after dropping in, when he first saw the numbers before his eyes, the rumors about the "cursed" were true. He was in another world. Survival wasn’t assured. Cultivate, get skills, grow abilities, or die. His old life, as a combat medic, had been hard, but he had learned some valuable lessons. And he wasn’t alone. His best friend, a marine recon sniper, like always, was right by his side. Could they figure out this fantasy world? What does it mean to ascend? How will they master the magic of this strange place?

Historia
Virtual Dive technology is coming out of the workplace and into homes. Nigmus Online is the first MMO to use this new device. The only caveat to the game: There is no manual. The only instruction the player gets is how to interact with the user interface. That's it. Nobody is going to hold their hand or give out rare items. Players begin life as a level-zero commoner. It's entirely up to them what class they become.

Historia
In a world where almost everyone has a superpower, Sam Archer finds himself with one of the most useless abilities of all - immortality. Sure, he can’t die, but he sure as hell can’t fight back either. If anything, the incapacity to die has turned out to be a hassle for Sam, with ridiculous requests for obnoxious favors being a primary concern. However, his coworker Lily Dodson is about to make his life a lot more interesting with her unique proposal. Warning: This book contains adult content that may not be suitable for all audiences.

It's Romance Novel Grade Porn, people
Revisado: 03-26-19
It's dressed up nicely, and it's well hidden ... but it's lite S&M
porn. If you like the Anita Blake vampire series after about book 5, then it's your kind of lite S&M Porn. But it's still porn, with a Masochist as the Main Character. He likes to be hurt, he Demands to be hurt, it was Very insistent and graphically descriptive on this point.
I've returned two books out of literally a thousand and this was the second.
If you like it, fine. But don't try and pretend it's not a Romance novel level of porn.
Enjoy, you do you.

No one could have anticipated the catastrophe that had occurred on Earth, but it meant that they would have to continue their colonization efforts without any Earth-bound help or guidance. It also meant that every member of the other space-bound locations would have to find a way to resupply without the assistance of their Earthly headquarters. If they couldn't, they would all certainly die.

The Narration, oh Gods The Narration
Revisado: 11-08-18
First time I've ever reviewed a book here. Its a great concept, real daydream fodder. It's very technical and I'll admit I'm a fan of that. The story is good. Light on dialog and character building but you can't have everything.
HOWEVER, The narrator. I'm not capitalizing the word for a reason. To paraphrase Dave Lister:
-If there was such a thing as the Stultification Olympics that man could Bore for his Nations Glory.-
He'd get nothing but Gold Medals all the way. I'd use him as a drill to Bore thru mountain passes but its illegal to use a weapon of Mass Destruction that way. He could make a Junior High school teacher sound interesting on a beautiful April day. His voice is a natural Anesthetic ... Do not listen to this in your car, you'll wake up in the wrong lane. He's weaponized Ennui.
So good book, but the narrator needs an Adrenaline drip and a stern lecture on what the word -Monotone- means.
I realize the narrator is a relative of the Author. And I want to put emphasis on the fact that I couldn't narrate a book if someone put a gun to my head. There'd be far to much weeping and screaming involved. But we have professional narrators for a reason. Intonation and mood are vital to narration. Just my opinion. Mahalo

Historia
In The Land: Predators, the Mist Village has harnessed its power. With core buildings, professional fighters, and now their own dungeon, the settlement is primed to grow into a kingdom of true power and magic. The path to power has not been without risk, however. The MistVillage has been noticed. Evil nobles from the Kingdom of Law, bloodthirsty goblins from the Serrated Mountains, an undead lord with a penchant for human sacrifice, and fanatical kobolds from the Depths all plot the village's destruction.
